Corruption in FIFA. High ranking officials arrested and extradicted to USA

Don't worry Ralphy.
You won't be out of pocket.
You Americans always extract your pound of flesh.

Yes, well I will only be happy if we recoup every dime this litigation is going to cost, and more, thru fines, penalties, or whatever we can confiscate in the way of property that we can auction off. I am sick of Uncle Sugar paying the way, as I say...

Who cares! People are money laundering or hiding money all over the world. Let others deal with the European crooks. We have enough of our own to deal with...

This is something the Australian Federal Police will be looking into now that arrests have occurred

I'm reading it says the excuse was that the 500,000 to a FIFA was a filing fee of sorts. Are you kidding me? These guys knew what they were doing and many accepted as business as usual, not all but many. If I'm paying someone 500,000 I want a receipt & paperwork.

The US would have paid the same filing fee when they made their bid. It is supposed to go to promote soccer in less affluent countries.
I hope any investigation digs deep to find out what happened to the money and who was involved in any corruption.

I'm still puzzled by the lack of details coming out. I get that even from other countries if the corruption/bribes/deals took place on US soil or used US banks or any bank on US soil it could be considered a crime. But from the US standpoint this seems like a favor or political hay somewhere. Sounds like there were crimes committed but we simply need more detail.

Blatter has just been re-elected.

Like I said, the original Teflon Kid!

Ignore this at your peril, America, Putin is already using it to hang some more stuff at your door, and its influence south of the Panama Canal affects your own backyard.

They were mentioning cases or crimes going back into the 1990s. Wouldn't the statue of limitations apply along with the laws at that time. I don't see this case flying. In typical federal fashion I think they are trying to overcharge to pressure someone to flip on another. If no one flips bye bye case.

We shall see... I for one don't believe Loretta Lynch would sully her newly attained position if she didn't have a pretty rock solid case. I think FIFA's ass is grass but they are way to arrogant to believe it possible.
