Could you be without your phone access for a week?

Tis The Season
If I had to, I could. I would not like it. I rely on my phone for so many
things. For myself, I only keep my cell phone and it is always near. I
do not keep a land line at home of any sort. My cell phone connects
me with many important things during any given day.

I take AccessARide at least 2 rides a week. You need a cell for this service. Otherwise, yes, I can go without my phone for a week. I could give up FaceTime with my son/grandson for a week. I have a landline too.

My son calls/texts me daily to see if I'm still alive 🤗

A few months ago I had to mail my Pixel 7 in for repairs so I was without my cell phone for close to a week. No problems when I was at home. I could still text and make calls via my cell phone number on my laptop. I did miss it when I was away from home but mainly because I could not listen to music or podcasts when taking my daily walks. Nothing earthshattering though.

Presumably you're talking about cell phone...sure, I rarely use the '"phone" function, dislike talking on both cellular and landline phones. As for the internet access and general computer aspects of cell phone capability, I prefer using my desktops & laptops.
Same here... my phone stays in my purse turned off. Only comes out if I would need it for an emergency. I can do everything on my laptop and/or tablet. I seriously dislike talking on the phone, and texting is just about as bad. "Wanna talk to me, here's my email" is what I tell people. 😊

YES !! ........... I do not have and do not want a smart phone.

When I retired, [in 2000] two friends bought me a small foldable [flip] cell phone, and two years service, because I planned on traveling by M/C.

Do not travel anymore , so ...... no need for it really. But I do keep it charged, just in case.

We have a landline and only get a few call a month on it. As for the cell phone, I have a flip phone. I keep it on while driving, just encase of an emergency on the road. I don't talk on it while driving, even hands free. Also I use it in large stores to call my wife while shopping to find out where she is in the store. Truthfully I could do without a cell phone, it would only take longer to find my wife in the store. :ROFLMAO:

No cell phone here anymore. Had one when the kid was a teenager, when Dad was sick for the doctors. Son married, husband passed, now I just have a landline. I am at home most of the time. On the odd occasion, I have borrowed a phone for an emergency. Call a tow truck, have a flat fixed..... I find it kind of funny, we all grew up without all this technology, some think they could not live without it but we all know we grew up just fine. I think life was more fun back then.
