Cracker Barrel - Destroying The Brand

Not just a publicity stunt. A distraction from other subjects. A restaurant chain's logo? Really? When it is not offensive to groups of people (racism,
sexual orientation, rewriting history, etc.), who cares?

There have been a lot of those diversions lately. Jokes about an actress having good genes (jeans) is another one. Gosh, there sure are a lot of things going on that should be grabbing our interest. So pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. Concentrate on Cracker Barrel instead.

In church this morning, our Pastor spoke about the shooting in Minneapolis and the deaths of the 2 little children. He read a from a Christian book for parents of young children, which really struck home about how precious and innocent they are. After he had finished reading, I don’t believe there were too many dry eyes in the sanctuary.

911, while I agree and sympathize, isn't your comment in the wrong thread? This is the Cracker Barrel discussion. I think your comment belongs in the school shooting discussion.

I can kind of understand the problem of the logo in the South of the US. A "cracker' is a racial slur meaning "dumb, poor, uneducated white person". In the North, the restaurant was deemed a place where "crackers" ate, meaning blacks weren't exactly welcomed.
Me thinks thou protest too much (meaning the people from the South and the North). People can read anything they want to into anything. There's a lot of brands of "crackers" on the market. It would cost millions of dollars to take that off of their product. and change the name to the type of item it is.
