Some of the most depraved human beings imaginable. Some of these people commit mass murders, scary yet there are people out there likes this who never get caught.

The following are some of the more horrific, you might not want to look

Someone said; "that which has been seen, can never be unseen"... or something like that. But, maybe they were wrong. Think of cake, friends, money, flowers and the beach instead! :) Or pie. Maybe pie.
 
Over the years, here in the U.S., we have had some pretty atrocious acts of murder committed. For some killers, it’s not enough to just kill a person, but they also find enjoyment in dishing out punishment, as well.

Some serial killers have built torture chambers in their basement, along with the use of sex toys. Then, there are also a few serial killers that will have a co-conspirator and they will act as a tag team. Yes, some of these crazies are very imaginative.

We have had serial killers in this country that have been credited with killing a few hundred people. The added shame to all of this killing is that not all of the bodies are recovered and this in turn does not allow the families to give their loved one a proper burial, or to have at least some closure.

I worked in major crimes for 14 years. During that period of time, I worked anything from bank robberies, car theft rings, major thefts of warehouses and murders. I have also had my share of smaller crimes, but normally, we have another group of Investigators that work those crimes. Above all, nothing, but nothing is more upsetting than the murder of a child.
 
I wonder if this kind of thing happens more often in the U.S. than in other countries? What are the statistics on this? I realize, there may not be statistics available from all over the world, but what about
places where such statistics are available?

We'll never know the horrendous crimes perpetrated by those in underdeveloped countries where other people rarely go, or wher it's within their religion?

The above crimes were reported, investigated and prosecuted. Who knows how many millions have not been?

True, for the most part, but, the counts aren't a 100% for any of the places were we have stats as so many murders go unsolved and or under reported. I imagine the tallies would be much higher but they have to work with the numbers that come in to them.

Sad all the around especially for the families who have to deal with the aftermath.

I had met one of the ladies who was killed she was a friend of a friend
The murders are still talked about today known as the bodies in the barrels at Snowtown

Sounds like Charles Ng and his acomplice Leonard Thomas Lake. Lake committed suicide but Ng is still on Death Row at San Quentin State Prison.
