Would be exciting to see in the wild...from the beach of course. I think I read where a few people a year are killed by salt water crocs. None around here but we do have alligators.

Have been chased out of the water once or twice. My buddy and I were surfing The Academy (oops, named a spot!) when the landlord blasted up from below just outside the surfline and grabbed a sea lion. My friend was standing on shore in an instant while I sat there trying not to panic and wishing there was a wave to take me in. Took forever to "calmly" paddle in without creating too much commotion. Thinking back . . . since it had a meal, was probably satisfied . . . but no sense in pushing the idea . . . !
