Croissant sandwich very special

Our neighbour likes croissants and especially Costco brand , and we get a pack of them for him when we are in the city ..they are huge like most items in costco a 12 pack is $12.99
We tried one they are nice however I believe they have 50% fat content so I leave them alone

Which is why they're so yummy.

The only think I can think of that I don't like in a croissant sandwich is tuna. Tuna needs a sturdier, heartier bread.
Yep we tried one ( between us ) of the neighbours last pack from Costco , we told the neighbour we was doing a quality control test before handing them over to him ….it was nice but NOT ..something I’d eat regularly
We didn’t have anything in it just pulled apart and ate it plain

I love croissants but I like the good ones like those made by au bon pain. I'm good with just ham and cheese melt in my croissant. :)
A predecessor of Starbucks called La Boulangerie (AKA La Bou) served sandwiches on excellent quality croissants up until about 15 years ago, when over half their shops closed and the croissants got way smaller and of poorer quality.

Ever been to one?

Starbucks took a lot of their customers ....I guess because of the coffee. Originally, La Bou only served various types of espresso.

Starbucks still had good croissants the last time I was there.

We have La Boulangerie here and it's always packed. I t has outdoor seating is why. I'll stop in and buy some cookies or bread once in a while. They're still so pricey.

But they are light as a feather. 17 grams is .6 ounces.
Same with whipped cream. A blob doesn't weigh much.
We are planning on getting a pack when in the city next …We live 2 hours drive from the city( Adelaide)
Or we can go raid the neighbours freezer cause we recently bought 2 packs for them thats 24 croissants minus the one sampled as part of quality control :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

We’ve have keys to our neighbours home and visa versa …..

They work our fairly cheap at $1.08 each and like all things Costco they are huge…..$12.99 for a pack of 12

Just watched one of those segments of "How It's Made" on TV. This one was about industry's method of producing croissants. At least 90% of the huge-factory's production was carried out by machines.

I seem to remember there were 18 layers of dough, before being rolled very thin, each layer separated by... margarine !! Can you imagine... MARGARINE, in this cherished French-invented epicurean delight?😳

Thank goodness there are local French bakeries in my region. I think I'd never want to purchase a mass-produced croissant.👎
