I have been looking a long time for a forum that includes others in my general age bracket. After reading the threads here, I've decided that this might be a good fit for me. Y'all are a friendly bunch!
I'm mom to two young men who are former US Marines, and they are the light of my life. They live and work a state away and I miss them very much. I live in a small college town, not far from a booming metropolis, so I get the best of both worlds. I love the countryside here.
Music-wise, I enjoy all types except hip-hop and rap. Love to read, mostly light stuff, but I also have fun occasionally picking out classics I've never gotten around to reading before. I'm a non-fiction freelance writer, but I write fiction and poetry for my own enjoyment.
