Dangerous Circumcision Ritual in South Africa

OMG! ... :coffee: ... U'd think'k he broke'd his F'n ____ off!

Sweetheart we had to let that g-guy go first because he broke his F'n ____ ___!

It's just as bad for the poor girls who have to go through the same rituals. Even here in Australia some girls have been brutalised and have suffered terribly when their mothers have had their girls circumcised. It is totally illegal here, but some girls have been known to be sent back to the country of their birth to be done.

The same in other Western countries. If gynecologists refuse to do circumcision in girls because it is illegal, they are brought to their home countries.

The traditional circumcision ritual Ulwaluko of the Xhosa tribe causes dozens of deaths and even more penectomies every year due to unskilled performers and unsterile instruments.

I was amazed at how many Americans were obsessed with circumcision. Often they were aghast at female ******* mutilation, but welcomed circumcision. I was told circumcision is "healthier", which frankly is silly. I'll never understand it.

You have to wonder when they were all sitting around the fire, and some idiot said, "Hey! I got an idea... who has a knife....."
Ain't nobody coming after me with a knife.

Religion. It's supposed to be a sign of the covenant between man and God. So man, created in the image of God, need their privates mutilated. As I say, madness.

For Jews and Muslims exist religious reasons since it is in their holy books. It might be possible that in such hot regions it adds to a better hygiene. Of course only in males.
Far from these reasons in countries like the USA or Europe I don't see any medical reason.
Contrary to the U.S. it is not practized in Europe except for religious reasons. I was not circumcised and did never have any problems. And my wife is still healthy. Yet physicians notice health problems for males and females because of not circumcised males.

What strikes me as insane, is many of the same folks that oppose the ******* mutilation of babies and children, for religious or cultural reasons, support so called gender affirming surgery in children. I say stop it all! Stop mutilating children to appease adults beliefs or agendas.

The main problem described by the OP is the "unskilled performers and unsterilized instruments" part of it. When circumcision of male newborns is performed by people skilled in modern medicine (usually doctors), it is recognized as a good preventative of future infections, and results in practically zero problems. It once was religion-oriented, but as it turned out, it is a commonly recognized medical procedure. The baby barely notices it.

But - and this is a big "but" - the disfigurements performed in some African countries on young teenagers and young women to prevent them from enjoying sex too much and possibly being promiscuous, or unfaithful to their husband and "owner" is primitive and beastly. It's incredible that this procedure is still being performed, even on terrified girls who have run away from home and are living in other countries in hiding from this ghastly procedure? From what I've read about it, it's still going on every day.

Respectfully, no. The main problem with the OP is the desire to do this wholly unnecessary surgery at all. The "preventative of future infections" is also ridiculous. Ask anyone with a foreskin. That's a reason given as an excuse, but it's nonsense. Should we amputate legs in case we break one? How about we pull out our teeth because teeth can rot?

It's all a weird lie.

ps: I am not directing this incredulity to you, but generally. As I've said, Americans seem to have bought into this, and it's just crazy.
