Daylight Savings Time or Eastern Standard Time?

A recent survey asked Americans which they would prefer: permanent standard time or DST. More people liked DST, which gives us darker mornings but lighter evenings. But they don't seem to be changing it any time soon.

100% would prefer DST year round.

In spring/summer the sun is bright at 4:30. Without DST it would be 3:30.

It’s the twice a year! my old house is home to over a dozen chiming/ striking antique clocks of various sizes. Spring, changing to BST, not too much of a problem, just wind on an hour through all the quarterly chimes.
But Autumn, switching back to Greenwich Meantime is a whole different matter, unless you stop the things for a day & try to remember to start them all again.
Then there’s the dogs, nobody tells them 🙄
