That sounds great, I'd love one myself but today is one of my "dry" days in the week....Saturday is my Scotch & club soda day.I'm going to have a whiskey and coke now and shut up.
Only if its seasoned correctly....You sound so overwhelmed @TabbyAnn . I'm sorry.
Remember how to eat an elephant. One bite at a time.![]()
One word;Iâm tired of dealing with the crap required to survive in todayâs society. There seems to be no logic, integrity or customer service left in todayâs institutions. I no longer want to deal with maintaining a home, garage, lawn, car, and doctors. All I want to do is eat, sleep and watch TV. But life wonât let you do that even after youâve worked 40 years.
I love it soI have one place, online, where I can reconcile all my charges and be done with it. It sures beats the old days, writing checks, keeping the register up to date. I still get paper statements so I can check the charges in case anything goes wrong. I can put a hold on the payment until the issue is resolved.
The accident was 2 years ago and eventually it was determined the fault was 50/50. But when GEICO was handling the claim fault had yet to be determined. Itâs literally your insurance companyâs responsibility to handle the claims with the other company. I would be looking for another company once this is resolved. I am sorry this is happening to you because it should not be handled this way.I reported it to my insurance company first and my agent helped me file the claim with the at-fault company. My friends who've had recent accidents where the other driver was at fault tell me their company referred them to the at-fault company. I don't know how old your accident was but times change and companies change. And it depends upon whether you were at fault or the other driver.
Iâm not familiar with insurance practices and I canât speak to your type of undetermined or 50/50 claim. My case was different with the police report immediately stating the other driver was 100% at fault. A friend with a recent accident like mine was referred to the at-fault agency by his agency. Another friend cited laws saying your own agency isnât responsible when an at-fault agency is in place. But the laws vary from state to state. Some websites say if you file with your agency and let them handle it your rates can go up by 50% but if you file with the at-fault agency there is no ding on your own agency record. If you are happy with your agency then I would stick with it. The at-fault agency has just now finally paid for my car repair. The accident was 2 years ago and eventually it was determined the fault was 50/50. But when GEICO was handling the claim fault had yet to be determined. Itâs literally your insurance companyâs responsibility to handle the claims with the other company. Iâve been paying my routine bills on-line for years but not on auto-pay. I go into my checking account on-line and select the electronic transfers each month. This was a trust issue with me due to a friend having a sizeable payment deducted twice in one month from his auto-pay arrangement and he spent a lot of time to get it straightened out. However, most people seem to have good luck with auto-pay with no problems.I have set up everything on auto pay. I have to pay one bill online during the month. My credit card to which I bill everything for cash rewards. I have one place, online, where I can reconcile all my charges and be done with it. It sures beats the old days, writing checks, keeping the register up to date.
I was in accident where a teenager was at fault who had insurance. My insurance company turned out so useless that I had to hire an attorney to get bills paid. I understand everyone may have that option, but I won't go through this again without one. After everything was settled, I fired my insurance company of 38 yrs. When I had an accident I donât deal with the other insurance company at all. You forward everything to your insurance company and they deal with it.
You most certainly do not have to shut up. Complaining and venting are needed sometimes.I'm going to have a whiskey and coke now and shut up.
Someone posted on Facebook that if you stop drinking soda and alcohol it could add ten years to your life.
I thought oh no, I can't stand 10 more years, that calls for a whiskey and coke immediately.
Sorry you feel this way.Iâm tired of dealing with the crap required to survive in todayâs society. There seems to be no logic, integrity or customer service left in todayâs institutions. I no longer want to deal with maintaining a home, garage, lawn, car, and doctors. All I want to do is eat, sleep and watch TV. But life wonât let you do that even after youâve worked 40 years. Assisted living isnât the answer.
After breaking my leg last year, I spent a week in a nursing home that advertised maid service, meal service, laundry service, and personal assistance. The food was horrible, they lost my laundry, and personal assistance was slow, rude or non-existent. I donât want a permanent diet of that. I talk with others whose relatives have even worse experiences in nursing homes.
Excellent advice! I can see that day will come for me, sooner or later, but not too much later...It can be overwhelming, but if you try to deal with one issue at a time it is doable. I had three large homes in my adult life until about 10 years ago. I then began an apartment life, and it was such a relief to let someone else deal with maintenance issues.
Perhaps you might ponder selling your home. Better days are coming, TabbyAnn. You've earned all the rest and relaxing days you need to be happy.
But less accurate!LOL - they're called "Rehabilitation Facilities."
Sounds better than calling them what they are - "Human Dumping Grounds"
I'm sorry to hear about your suffering with all this crap. However, I'm not surprised as we are all living in the "Dumb and Dumber" society that started at least 20 years ago. Anyone here for "Gender Neutral Toilets?"Iâm tired of dealing with the crap required to survive in todayâs society. All of the bathrooms in my house are gender neutral. Everyone is welcome... one at a time anyway, LOLAnyone here for "Gender Neutral Toilets?"
You cannot be a Canadian! A couple of years ago, the gender neutral were screaming on the media that they had a "problem" with the words " men" and "women" on bathroom doors and they wanted changes. Of course, the crazies in power said "Sorry" we will start building a 3rd toilet beside the other 2 for the "gender neutral" folks. Ya! Only in Canada, the country that tries to please everyone and everything in all sorts of ways. All of the bathrooms in my house are gender neutral. Everyone is welcome... one at a time anyway, LOL
