Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis

HBO showed a two-hour documentary on Dean Martin's life this morning. It explained it was Jerry Lewis that did the split and for some reason hated Dean Martin passionately. His children said they were not permitted to even speak his name. Later during a Jerry Lewis MDA telethon, Frank Sinatra pulled a surprise on everyone bringing Dean Martin onto the stage. You could easily hear Jerry Lewis saying to Frank, "You sonofabitch." Apparently, Lewis grew to believe he was bigger than the duo and had much more talent, so he split.

It was after the break-up. Initially, they were inseparable for years.

I never cared for Jerry Lewis. On the other hand, I LOVED Dean Martin.
