Back when I was a little crazier than I am now I jumped off the second floor balcony into a motel swimming pool (alcohol may have played a part )......don't believe I'd want to try the Death Dive stunt.

Glad to hear it's not a thing you'll be doing, @IKE ! Of course it would no longer be like when you did that pool dive... these days you'd have to video it all for views and keep your fingers and toes crossed on the way down that it will reach the coveted viral status.

We had a dance move in the jive that we called: The Death Dive. The lady goes over her fellow's head, down towards the floor, meanwhile he bends down, reaches through his knees, catches her and pulls her through. All done in the blink of an eye. Wow, I can't believe people actually believe that stuff.

That's the most incredible part....they believe it. They don't believe Putin would lie to them. But also, Russian state TV shows actual video clips of these things actually happening, or at least actually being reported on by US journalists. Naturally, these are doctored clips, clips taken out of context, and wacky Tic-Tok and Instagram posts.

Russian TV runs propaganda programs all day long. They're modeled after talk-shows, and they're very popular with Russians. The show where they talked about how some Ukrainians crucified a little boy to death in Donbas got the highest rating in that show's entire 20-yr history. Russians just ate that shit up. But, of course it was a total lie. Even after a lady admitted she made the whole thing up, Russians still believe it.

I think that living under a communist dictatorship causes actual brain damage.

About the gender-changing stuff - yes, they do. Glad you spotted that. Russian TV runs with that narrative for months on end, like they do with a lot of the west's issues and mistakes, especially mistakes made for the sake of equality and inclusion. They love to show that freedom is the work of Satan.

You remember when Nancy Pelosi and a few of her sidekicks knelt before some Black people, their way of apologizing for slavery and White Privileged? There's a video of that, and Russian TV played it while their most beloved propagandists said "If you move to America, their laws say you must genuflect to every Black person you happen to meet."

And believe me, Russians are deeply prejudiced toward non-Russians, especially dark-skinned ones.

I wish westerners (especially Americans) were more careful about this kind of crap, like taking a knee before certain races, looking away during the national anthem, protesting athletes for praying during a televised game. But we do have the freedom to do these things, and it would be self-censorship if we refrained.

Yes, about the gender changing part. But I didn't know Pelosi knelt before some Black people. Wow. And that's crazy how Russia twisted that around to say everyone has to genuflect to Black people. Yes they love to take a small truth and blow it out of proportion and twist it around. It's crazy how the Russian people believe that too. As far as prejudiced towards non Russians, I thought Putin was saying something about waring against Ukraine because they were Nazis or something like that. And here they are prejudiced against non Russians. They do have a messed up mindset over there. They think their way is the right way and only way.

Let's face it. When we were younger we had no clue about mortality. I did some really stupid things... some that could have affected my life or health. I rolled down a hill in an inner tube. My high school girlfriend did it as well and cracked a tooth. I would have never jumped off a cliff into water, but that's just me.

There was peer pressure back then, but not nearly the peer pressure Social Media causes. Yes, these kids are doing stupid, dangerous things but anyone who hasn't followed the crowd and done stupid things when they were younger is probably more the exception than the rule.

I do agree that Tik-Tok should be banned because there is much greater reach than when I was a kid.
