Deer hunting

Deer hunting . . ,

Maybe he's off deer hunting, and letting us all know he'll be gone. If that's the case, good luck Larry and be safe out there! :)

I saw a deer today. It was about midday. I was making my way up the hill and all of a sudden it trotted out between the flats and, hooves clattering on the tarmac, made its way up the lane and jumped up on the wall. To my great surprise when I got up there it was still there. Just stood there watching me go by.

I felt very privileged to have got so close to such a beautiful animal. And I remember thinking at the time how can people ever want to harm them?

It's a world of wonder!

Got to the end of that video, and said, "Oh, nooo!!" :( :p

The guys got 3 deer this year...I don't know that I could shoot one; they are so beautiful. OTOH, they do destroy the garden, and they're good eating.

I haven't had venison for a few years. Brooke won't let me shoot them here and I never go anywhere else.Surprisingly they don't bother the garden but they sure tear up our young trees.

I like this video because when My grandson was a youngster I would tell him I was going deer hunting Christmas eve. I told him I was going to sit on the roof and hide behind the chimney. He's 24 now and I posted this video on his facebook page.

I'm with you . . . in part . . . but the negatives of dealing with the buggers makes enjoying them difficult at times. I always wonder what they ate before we started planting roses???
