She is beautiful! It's huntin' season here, as well.
I heard shots up on the ridge while I was getting the horses ready for turnout this morning.
We have 10 or 11 deer that run through our property and sometimes stop to graze amongst the horses -- not what I want to see.
It's way too warm to blanket the horses or I would, so they don't get mistaken but the flies are out so they all have face masks on. I also keep them shut out of the section with the big grove of trees.
I've never worried too much because only the locals have hunted this area. I've seen bad things happen to people that try to hunt up here and weren't invited - lollollol
My neighbor used to get 2 or 3 deer, have all the meat processed, then give most of it to families that were having a tough time of things.
I come from a hunting family but never could point anything but the camera at wild life. However, I understand the need to keep some of the wild life under control not only for their own health issues but crops; deer can do severe damage to a corn crop.
What absolutely tisses me off is the Sunday hunting. I now live in The Bible Belt and they hunt on Sunday. I'm from the OH/PA border originally - even us "Damn Yankees" didn't hunt on Sunday, in either state. I knew I had one day of the week, in the Fall, to ride my horse in the woods without fear of getting shot. Again, coming from a hunting family, if a person can't get their deer Mon thru Sat, they aren't a good enough shot to get it on Sunday either. Just get your bearded little self to Church instead of making your wife "go for you"
