Define in your own words, what being a lady means to you.

Ah yes, the Queen. Always a lady, putting everyone around her at ease.

That photo was taken not long before she died and my daughter the nurse said her hands revealed that her systems were already beginning to shut down. Even as she was dying, she still performed her duties as Head of State.

I assumed that the purple on the top of her hand was from an IV. Did your daughter say what caused the purpling on her hand?

She said that is a sign that the person's systems were beginning to fail. It could be that the heart, lungs or kidneys were not functioning properly and it was the start of a cascade of failures. Slow at first, then accelerating.

Keep looking. Some day you'll find her. One Thanksgiving l baked an apple pie from scratch. I was so proud.
Thank goodness right before it was going to be served l had a slice and was mortified to discover that l had used
corn starch instead of flour.
Bizarre.

Even as a boy among 7 kids I was required to do my share of cooking and baking. I won't claim I was ever great at it, but I knew ingredients.

Perhaps you grew up in wealth and privilege? Did a servant handle kitchen and scullery work?

:ROFLMAO: Don't take me so seriously.

I almost suggested a use for that cornstarch (another thread) but I don't want it taken the wrong way. :ROFLMAO:

Fishwives are sluts
No, fishwives tend to be harridans.
Harridan is an offensive word for an angry or unpleasant woman

A fishwife or fish fag is a woman who sells fish.... Fish women were notoriously loud and foul-mouthed as in the expression, To swear like a fishwife. One reason for their outspokenness is that their wares were highly perishable and so lost value if not sold quickly.

Why does "fishwife" mean "mean woman"?

Also foul-mouthed because her hands hurt.

Slut or harridan, a fishwife is the polar opposite of a lady. Both are useful creatures.
