She said that is a sign that the person's systems were beginning to fail. It could be that the heart, lungs or kidneys were not functioning properly and it was the start of a cascade of failures. Slow at first, then accelerating.

Thank goodness right before it was going to be served l had a slice and was mortified to discover that l had used
corn starch instead of flour.

My Mother was the epitome of a lady. I never heard her swear, she was always welcoming when people came to visit unannounced. Would go
out of her way to help others. Put her family before everything whilst she went without.

That's true l did. The ladies started it first but l think they were kind of bragging. Now l think l may be in trouble.

To me a lady is the counterpart of a gentleman. Both are people with experience and discernment who act with decency toward others.

I like that definition. Good qualities that apply to everyone.
