Describing oneself...

Looking in the mirror, I see a moderately attractive older guy with white hair and a nice smile.
When I see a recent photograph of myself I wonder "who is that old fart, and why is he wearing my shirt?"

I have often wondered why that is; when I look in the mirror I'm not thrilled but I feel OK about myself. But photos of me make me cringe. I absolutely hate having my picture made.

Ok, I’ll try to be serious. I think there is so much sadness in this world now. I have always had a heart for the downhearted. I was the guy in high school who would go over and sit at lunch with the outcast Kid. Strike up a conversation with the unpopular girl in the class. Kills me to see someone suffering.

Now I see the guy on the corner with the cardboard sign and I find myself parking my car, walking over to him or her and instead of just giving a handout, offering to walk over to Walmart or wherever and help them try to get a job. Stuff like this keeps me up at night.

I am absolutely in love with my kids and grandkids. I am with them almost every day and love it. I try to teach them life lessons and shower them with love. Grandson is 5 and grand daughter is 3. They live in the court behind us. He started kindergarten a few weeks ago. I meet them at the bus stop in the morning and afternoon. Take my grand daughter to Parerra......as she pronounces it..Panera..lol for breakfast on Tuesday and Thursday mornings after he gets on the bus. She is always wearing some kind of Princess dress which cracks up the girls at Panera. After school today, he and I went to our favorite Mexican restaurant. I know they will only be this innocent age for a short period of time and I’m not wasting it.

Ive been in the corporate world since 1978, traveled the world, been up on stage receiving awards and all that crap which is nothing compared to walking in their house every day, opening the door, and having these two kids drop everything and run to the door yelling PAW PAW!!!!!!

I love your big heart Florida!

Well Groomed, Hygiene Oriented, Unselfish, Giving, Modest (lol)

Just like everyone else.

During my senior year in high school, my home room teacher told me that I was self-centered and intimidating. I disagreed with him and made him give me some reasons why he would think that. God’s truth; he told me that’s what he liked about me. I have never been able to figure out why he would have said that. I never told that to anyone until now.

It has always surprised me how people see me. I think of myself as a happy, fun loving little critter. But like 911, I come across as intimidating. Who? ME? One of the comments I get is that I appear angry. I'm really NOT. My self image is a cheerful, playful kitty cat, but somehow I come across as Godzilla.kitty.jpgGodzilla.jpg

I have loved Godzilla since 1956. Godzilla ok by me.

I've never understood attraction, is Godzilla camp? Will you help an old man out?
I've asked people...response is shrug, out spread palms, 'Just like him.'
Okay, he is not scary unless your bedfast??? He walks around at 2-3 miles an hour----run away, hide... don't seek refuge in tall building...
He is hell on tall buildings, what's his count of destroying large cities?
Yes, there are some things that can't be explained, but?????

I not only have loved Godzilla since first being terrorized in 1956, I passed this on to my offspring who will pass this on to theirs. Hollywood and Japan are cooperating in this effort. Yes, Camp is a good way to describe it, I think. The translations into English not fitting the Japanese mouths speaking is precious! So is much of the dialogue, like "Godzilla is the Protector of Tokyo, he loves it as much as crap from a goose!" 😂

That help, it is only explanation I've ever received.

Now that your in question answering mood, tell me this.
The absolute nonsense of American Hero movies have driven me to PBS, Brit detective program where one corpse is sufficient.

Also, saving one person, a loved one, your family was sufficient, Not any more, now you have to save your city, nations the galaxy.

The destruction of ten cars in high speed pursuits is mandatory, more are desirable. (The rock bands destroying their instruments was stupid,
stupid!) Apparently, Hollywood said Hmmmm, we can use this destructive behavior in out plots?????
The destruction of cars, buildings is not acceptable, Remember Young Eyes are watching.

So it is PBS and Turner Classic Films they have Boggie and Bacall on occasion.
Cat-eyed Lauren Bacall still makes me slobbered and I'm 78. Think she died in 2014, high 80's (89?)

Finally, a Brit posted American comedy sucks-Yea we gave good writers, put you cannot have a continuation of the humor when the dialogue
threat is lost to wait for the canned laughter. Sponsors demand the canned laughter be played on dialogue that have no comedic content.
Crazy,,,,,,'Gott'a go wreck my car, will return

I am conscientious, curious, understanding, self-contious, funny, careful, caring. There's more but not going there at this time....😂

Jerry: "Now that your in question answering mood, tell me this."

Was there a question in there? If so, I couldn't find it. :)
