Diabetes Yes or No?

Hi everyone I've written about my diabetes before here, questioning whether I had it or Not. I just had a physical for a new job. They did a urine test, well the doctor told me he didn't see diabetes? So now I'm a little MORE confused, because other test said I did? So what to believe?

Hi everyone I've written about my diabetes before here, questioning whether I had it or Not. I just had a physical for a new job. They did a urine test, well the doctor told me he didn't see diabetes? So now I'm a little MORE confused, because other test said I did? So what to believe?

Urine test doesn't show high blood sugar unless it's very high - for some people over 180, for others closer to 300. Sugar in the urine indicates your body is trying to get rid of it - that's how it does it, by taking water from other parts & using it to flush out the excess sugar. (That's why diabetics can become dehydrated sooner). A legitimate, accurate test for diabetes is at least three fasting blood sugar tests over 125. Fasting, meaning at least 8 hrs without eating.

Thanks, I did have blood test also. My regular doctor said I was fine... I didn't know you could detect it 2 ways?
