I can't imagine having to endure sitting on plastic for any length of time.Back in the 60s, when my three kids were little, the first thing I did, when I bought a new car, was to install these seat covers. Mainly, to keep the seats looking new. We couldn’t go any distance without one, or all, the kids getting car sick. These made cleaning up so much easier.

My guess is this is a 56 Chevy. Right or wrong?Back in the 60s, when my three kids were little, the first thing I did, when I bought a new car, was to install these seat covers. Note the metal dashboards back then and no seat belts. We didn't have the clear plastic but we did have an old Chevy Bel Air with cloth replacement seat covers. I remember that they were turquoise with a shiny metal thread woven into them.
I was lucky to always have a big strong hand reaching out to catch me when the brakes were applied.Note the metal dashboards back then and no seat belts.
oops... I saw this headline and thought you were talking about something else! HaHaHaHa!
Wow, that chrome tissue dispenser below the glove compartment!! I'd forgotten about those. My '57 Buick Roadmaster had one.55 or 56. could go either way since the interior dash boards were the same.

Yes seat covers. You kept the seats nice and clean for the next guy to buy your car.Back in the 60s, when my three kids were little, the first thing I did, when I bought a new car, was to install these seat covers.
