Very sad. As usual I heard about it from my husband who gets up between 4 and 5 every morning and drinks coffee and watches the news. Between him and the news headlines on my computer I get about 90% of my information. I watch a bit of TV news but not a lot. I can't just hear this stuff and then forget about it, it keeps replaying in my mind.
Apparently they were storing toxic and combustible materials including sodium cyanide together or near each other. And building/warehouse wasn't exactly ready to hazardous waste just getting a license weeks earlier.
Just have ...nitrile in the chemical that caused the explosion. Either many of these factories have relied on the shear luck method over the years or they are moving too fast for their own good.
