For me it was Fridays. It was nice to be around schoolmates (and teachers) and later on with co-workers with that TGIF vibe in the air. And Friday nights always seemed to be special. When I was a kid it was spending the night at a friends house and in high school it was usually "date night" or going to some party. Later on Friday nights were "date night" with the wife or happy hour time with coworkers.

At this point in my life my favorite day of the week is when I meet a family member or a friend for lunch.

On the flip side, when I was going to grade school I always felt some sort of doom and gloom on Sunday nights. I enjoyed the day part because during the Autumn I would spend the day watching NFL games but as soon as I heard Pat Summerall say the words "Coming up on CBS", I knew the weekend was over.

When I was young and working I looked forward to Mondays. The rain most always stopped and the work week was off to a great start.
I could catch up on sleep Monday nights. Tuesdays also. By Wednesday I was ready to once again go out into the rain.

We called that, "the Sunday night dreads,' through three generations of school and work.

Now Sunday nights are a good time, usually the only night I watch TV -- all those PBS shows.

Thursday is my favorite day now. It's my lightest housework day and just before the social obligations start.

I used to watch PBS Saturday nights at the Camper. Red Dwarf, Mr. Bean, The Red Green Show.
Outdoors cooking, The Chiminea fire evenings. Late evening in the Camper with the TV & PBS..\
The late 90's were a different time. But Taxes were rapidly beginning to eat at cha..

Years passed, built a home there, sold the Camper to Friends. Satellite TV and more stations +
DVD / Blu-ray movies. The house has its great spots especially on rain days & day trips.

I like Mondays. On Sat. & Sun. stores change their hours. Even TV programming changes on the weekend. If you work a standard M-F job, the weekend is your playtime. But if you're retired every day is a play day, and the strange weekend closings, and other weekend stuff is just an annoyance. On Monday, I don't have to remember if the pharmacy closes at 8 instead of 10.

oooh I remember the Sunday night doom & gloom..... It was not just the school the next day, but the whole rigmarole around Sunday nights in prep for school...

II still hate Mondays even to this day despite being retired... :D I would say If I was to choose a favourite day it would be Saturday.. my phone rarely rings on a Saturday except for my daughter.. so I can do what I please without being disturbed..
