Did I really wear that?

I’ve always loved clothes and over the years, like many kids I followed every trend going but the most embarrassing was my beatnik phase, age 13, bare foot, skin tight jeans and my friends dads sweater, about 10 sizes too big, with huge holes in it, my parents would cross the road if they saw me coming

I also followed fashion trends, when a young guy. On a gig, I wore a navy floral print shirt with white collar and cuffs, along with a wide red tie with white polka dots. To my prom, I wore a purple shirt, fringed leather vest, rainbow striped pants. My date wore a rainbow skirt, white top.

If something had ever embarrassed me, I wouldn't have worn it, but I can't imagine what that would have been. Fashions come and go, and those who want to have some fun can freely dip into the fashion pool.

Haha.....I wear that now wren .....😍

Jeans, a denim shirt, and sneakers . . . to make a presentation to a group of executives and high level managers in Washington, DC. The airline had lost my checked bag, nothing suitable in my carry-on, and no time to replace anything. The group was remarkably understanding, but I learned some valuable lessons on that trip.

The only thing I can think of is going on a date with my boyfriend (now my husband) and I had a low cut top red dress on. He insisted that I kept the jacket on during the party. I listened for awhile until I saw him staring at a girl walking past with a short dress on. So if he could look at her then guys could look at me,so I took the jacket off.:D:D

Too many to even think about...…

I remember the jackets with the HUGE shoulder pads that made me look like a football player. I had a tiny little waist that I liked to emphasize with tight belts, so the shoulders stood out even more.

I dressed like a bit a hippie in my younger days. When I was pregnant, I converted a pair of my "elephant bell" (HUGELY wide bell-bottoms) into maternity jeans and worse them with an equally huge Indian top that had little mirrors all over it. I wore the outfit to the base one day and my late husband's commanding officer called him in and told him, "TELL YOUR WIFE TO DRESS LIKE A LADY WHEN SHE'S ON BASE AND STOP DRESSING LIKE A GODDAM HIPPIE!!!"

As others have said, I wore what was happening back them. There was this one dress that literally had no sides from shoulder to waist - I mostly relegated it to Halloween costume wear, but did sport it for a party that I knew a cheating ex would attending with his new, rather frumpy girlfriend. Stunned his grizzly ass into silence...

High school: going to a school dance. My date had a suit on. I bought the most beautiful new pink angora sweater. On the way to the dance, my new sweater started SHEDDING all over his suit! he was FURIOUS! He took me home to change my clothes! and I didn't like HIM any more because he had a quick temper!
