Did you go to your High School reunions?

I came from a tiny Catholic High School-only 23 kids. We were a close knit bunch. But... I don't know. "School spirit" seemed like a million years ago. I never went.

Nope. My high school class had 600 students. Haven't been to any of my reunions. My sister goes to all of hers. My 50th is in 2020.

I was out of the U.S. for my 20th but made the 50th. We had a huge class 1n 952 and had about 60% of the several hundred show up.

Just went to my 50th last Saturday.. Had a ball! So much fun.

Glad you had a good time! Was it formal/semi-formal? Next year will be mine. Don't know if I'll go. I went only to one--think it was my 15th. At this time, I really don't have any desire to go as my friends will be with husbands, but I'll see.

Actually, it was casual at VFW hall. Most were in dress pants and tops.. Some were in jeans.. and a few in shorts.. believe it or not.. We had Pizza (Chicago style of course) and Chicken wings, and salad.. cakes and cookies, and beer and wine. We danced to a DJ playing 60's music.. It was great!! There were about 150 of us.

No I never went to any of them. I was just so glad to graduate and move on. I never looked back. I still have a girlfriend from high school though. it's been over 50 years now and we see each other on a regular basis.

Sounds like a good time to me. Hey, after 50 yrs I guess no one need impress each other! I remember my 15th and some of the drama. Almost "show offy". Now that we're all grandparents, that may have changed! Love the 60's music, especially Motown.

They treated me worse than "Carrie" so &%$# 'em...but it would be kind of funny to see what they look like now...I can only imagine...

I have to admit I saw a few pictures of classmates online. Botox city...One sweet revenge was maybe ten years after graduation. The waitress who served us had been on the cheerleading squad. Way popular with perfect grades and Farrah Fawcett waves. Ten years later she was a dishwater blonde hippo.:playful:

My wife and I went to my 15th reunion and didn't really enjoy it. Never went to another but, naturally, always got an invite every 5 years. This year was our 65th, held last June. As usual, I didn't go but did wonder how many of us are left??

Went to one early on, maybe the 5th. That was it. Very formal affair dinner. Typical of our class. Moved too far away after that. One girlfriend since 3rd grade I keep in touch with.

I remember all the angst involved in grade school and in grammar school too.. In fact, if you look at my picture, and see the guy in front on the far left end.,. he cut my face out of the class picture in 4th grade and pasted it on a Mad Magazine cover. So I returned the favor.. I hated him! Now we just laugh about it. The short woman in the front row in pink was my arch rival all through school.. we competed for everything.. boys included.. but we have been friends for 61 years.. on and off... between fights.. lol! I had a HUGE crush on the guy in the Black Hawks shirt in 5th grade.. he didn't know I was alive and it broke my heart. I told him about it last week and we had a laugh. He said he was STUPID back then and we had our first hug... It was a fun evening.

No but there was a pre high school reunion I wish I went to . Grade 7 and 8 were my most exciting school years.
The kids were great, teachers were great and school trips were out of this world great but unfortunately I can’t turn back time

Our high school class held a reunion in Denver, every 10 years. I went to 3 or 4 of them....the latest being the 50th in 2010, and that one was a little depressing.
We had almost 700 in our graduating class, and about 2/3rd's of them showed up at the earlier reunions....and it was nice to renew old acquaintances. However, by 2010, less than 100 showed up, and most of the conversations centered around those who had passed. This year, I haven't received any notifications about any more reunions.
