Did you have an imaginary friend

In your younger years? My friend was named Bob and living in the country it was nice to have someone to make secret plans with. Then, when I was about 10, we moved into town and I had some real live friends.

my friend Bob is missing his sister. Maybe you can help him.......

I did when I was very young and an only child with no contact with other kids. My 'friend' wasn't a person as such but from what I recall seemed to be a character from some book I'd had read to me. (Shades of Donny Darko? )

This will freak out a certain member here who adopted the same username on another forum and has since become a 'real' friend.
I called the entity Ratty. Poor Ratty got the blame for anything spilled, broken, vandalized or otherwise likely to bring punishment down upon me. Every kid needs a scapegoat right? .

Did I have one?

I still do! They make the best kinds of friends! They're never late, never stand you up and never complain about where you're going to eat. They don't let you down, kick your cat or steal your spouse. You can buy them imaginary gifts for their birthdays and Christmas. They're super lightweight to carry home when they pass out from drinking, and they never take that last hit off the bong.

I did. Haven't seen her in ages.... You're right tho, Phil - they are always there for you, and never eat your food or get you in trouble. ;)

Most of the time that's true. Unfortunately MY imaginary friend - one of them, anyway - likes pepperoni pizza almost as much as I do.

Every time we get a delivery there's a wrestling match between the front door and the dining room, leaving a trail of greasy pepperoni stains and tomato-cheese streaks along the way.

My roommate HATES my imaginary friend. :(

Okay, I'll stop being silly for just a moment . . .

When I was a little guy, I would talk to my "friends" while I was sitting on the pot. They hid behind the door when my parents came into ask me who I was talking to and it became a traditional family joke . . . along with many of my antics...
