My mom called me "Red", even though my younger sister had lighter red hair, she got another shortened nickname.
My Dad added the ie to my name. He was the only one who ever was that casual with my name.

No. None of us did as my parents did not condone nicknames. Of course, our friends did, but out of earshot of my folks.
