Difficulty watching local news

I would like to add that that there is also "Always" the option of contacting an Adoption Agency that has a long list of wonderful couples (and singles) who's hearts are pining away for the opportunity to adopt and pay for all prenatal and post natal expenses, emotional support, and more...especially for victims including "tweens". Adoptive couples can hardly wait to Love and Provide for the child.

I have a strong feeling that a victim who carried that child to full term, as hard as that would be, and then chose to give it to loving parents, will someday, as an adult, look back without guilt or shame but rather with peace in knowing they gifted the parents with a long awaited miracle and also saved the child. At least that would be my prayer for them all.
Amen! Well said!
No matter who becomes pregnant, or how she becomes pregnant, even a victim of incest, there is no possible reason to murder the innocent baby.
If she can not get an abortion, she can always give it up for adoption. There are literally thousands upon thousands of couples who would be delighted to adopt a child.
Yup, the unborn baby is a victim too. He/she is NOT the bad guy. They deserve to live.

It is for babies, not toddlers, that an adult can drop off a BABY without fear of being charged with abandonment. Babies only.

Many fire houses have an outside/twoside access drawer/cabinet. The 'mother' places the baby in the drawer/cabinet rings a bell/tone & the firefighters take the baby from there. I'm told, even if the firefighters see the 'mother' ..... no questions asked.

Aside from the considerable physical danger of carrying a child at thirteen, or younger, and the inevitable long term emotional anguish around the whole situation, I am flabbergasted at the capacity to have compassion for what lies in her womb, and

yet none for the innocent child forced into this conundrum. Others are not pro choice, but they do not dismiss the suffering of this betrayed being, childhood ripped away forever.

I don't understand why you say that ? I haven't seen any post that dismisses the suffering of an incest victim.

This thread is SUPPOSED to be about the murder of a 2 year old child who's story I saw on the evening news. While I have sympathy for incest victims, I get sick to my stomach at the thought of a living, breathing 2 year old being murdered by her own mother.

If someone has tried to make unreasonable excuses for a murdering mother, and NOT give any sympathy for the murdered 2 year old, then I have no hope that society will ever do everything possible to stop child abuse.

Yes, true. However, a mother, sans father, always has the option of giving a child/toddler up for adoption. Murder of a child is NEVER an option that can be condoned.

Has anyone here condoned the murder of the two year old? I don't think so.

Is this the murder you're talking about?

Condoned ? Well, all I know is that after I posted the initial thread, someone started talking about the problems young mothers have. Kinda makes me think that was an excuse for murder. Why else would someone bring up a young mother's problems in the middle of a thread about the news story of a child's murder ?

I'm not sure if that is the case I was talking about. I am deaf and I must rely on closed captioning which occasionally misses important info.

If the father is known, he must give his consent before his child is put up for adoption. He does have legal recourse.

What do you know about being pregnant? Nothing. It's a condition that has the potential of being life threatening, and therefore should never be forced.

Of course I and everyone else here has sympathy for the two year old! We were just speculating as to the possible reasons for it.

Of course I know nothing about being pregnant. Obviously !
However, carrying a pregnancy to term, does not give a woman an excuse for killing a 2 year old. She had 2 full years to give up the child, yet she went off the deep end and murdered her own child.

With post like the above, I can not help but wonder, when it comes to trial, how many women would find the mother NOT GUILTY simply because the mother was too "stressed out" to raise a child ?

In any event, I never said, or implied, that any pregnancy should be forced.
