PURE FICTION and here is why I believe it.

The speed of light is the fastest velocity of anything in the Universe.
As an object approaches the speed of light, its mass rises precipitously. If an object tries to travel 186,000 miles per second, its mass becomes infinite, and so does the energy required to move it. For this reason, no normal object can travel as fast or faster than the speed of light.

There are serious implications related to travelling close to the speed of light as it relates to the passage of time. Would we be willing to plan a 12 year trip to a distant star if it meant 100,000 years or more would pass on Earth ?

The Milky Way galaxy in which our Sun and all the stars we see at night reside, spans 100,000 light years from one end to the other.
From Earth to the limit of our galactic vision spans a distance of approximately 276,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 miles, only a fraction of the galaxy.

Our nearest star is Alpha Centauri which is 4.37 light years from Earth and is actually a star system. One light year is 5.878 Trillion miles = 5.878,000,000,000 miles. Alpha Centauri is therefore 25.7 Trillion miles or 25,700,000,000,000 miles from Earth

The speed of light at 186,000 miles/second cannot be exceeded. However, it can be closely approached. So for Alpha Centauri, if a space vehicle could approach the speed of light it could probably do the round trip in 12 years allowing for 2 years exploration.

This speed will cause time to slow down in the ship, while time has accelerated elsewhere. On returning to Earth it is possible that thousands if not millions of years have passed since departure.

This is why there is NO alien activity on or around planet Earth. All alien speculation and "evidential" data is pure nonsense. Aliens simply do NOT exist on or around Earth and never have, due to space time and distance factors.

All alien reports however plausible by witnesses, official and Government sources dealing with this subject are NOT dealing with alien activity at all, but dealing with natural phenomena, the human brain, intelligence, imagination, eyesight, or man-made activity. The fairy tale has been popped !

Conclusion -
Alien activity on or around Earth = NONE = FICTION
UFO's = Unidentified Flying Objects = YES = FACT

What are your views ?

Do Aliens Exist on or around Earth ?

They not only exist, I've interacted with a few on this forum.

BTW, your argument presupposes
A) The existence of only the three dimensions that humans know.
B) That light is indeed the fastest velocity in the universe. (Just because it is the fastest velocity known to humans doesn't mean it's the fastest velocity in existence.)

Perhaps a Star Trek type "warp" occurs in space, that would allow for travel over billions of miles in just seconds. Perhaps our puny human efforts at making space travel a reality are just in its infant stages, and centuries from now, such travel might not only be possible, but commonplace. After all, If you took someone from the 17th century, and brought them into today's world, our technology would blow their mind. Just because we don't know how to do it yet, doesn't mean that it will never be possible....and with untold billions of stars/planets, etc., out there...there might well be civilizations far more advanced than ours.

Be so kind and delete your posts. "fastest velocity" he-he:eek:nthego:

LIghtspeed is no longer universally accepted as the greatest velocity known. See something like "quantum entanglement" or "EPR Paradox" for further explanations.
One note you leave out, robots piloting vessels. Time, speed and distance does matter to them. See Voyager. It will exist after the Earth has been destroyed by the Sun's expansion.

Sure aliens exist if we are open to what an alien might be. Wouldn't the Mars land rover that took 8 & 1/2 months to get to Mars & send back info be an alien to Mars. The transportation to Mars would be the UFO. As was pointed out UFO's are a fact, also a fact, so far no government taken credit for UFO's. Does an alien manning a UFO necessarily have to be live? As time passes and science progresses maybe in the future there will be definitive answer to this wonderment of are we alone in one of the many universes?

Are the UFO's a more advanced version of the Mars rover?

I believe there are UFO's, but I have hunch that they might just be ours....I mean anything flying, that is unknown, is a UFO .

As for Aliens ? Over the years I have damn sure met people that must be from another planet.........:)

I suppose anything is possible. I tend to lean towards a much smaller alien life form that rides in on the tail of a comet or is enclosed inside meteors. Little life forms such as bacteria, viruses, genetic materials from other places that manage to get into our atmosphere. Suddenly we have a new disease that didn't exist before, a new type of bird will appear, a new species of plant shows up, perhaps even a new type of human was created because the "alien life" managed to find and manipulate an existing host form here on earth. I'm not so sure about all the UFO, "an alien captured me and probed my body". I tend to think little alien life forms are among us but we can't see them without a microscope.

There's interest in artificial intelligence. What if the one theory is true where these artificial robotic beings managed to travel, would land on a planet and use whatever materials that are present there to self replicate. Then when they get what they need, when they have created clones of themselves, they simply pack up and move on to the next planet/star/ galaxy. They won't need food water, oxygen or any of the things we would need if we were to leave earth.

Well, I obviously need to go to bed. Hope I don't dream about all of this.

I suppose that what I see as dust in my little apartment could, in fact, be the largest alien life colony on earth!

Mine too. But they (aliens) already live among us and they aren't all friendly.

I think that we get so caught up in someone elses vision of trying to make aliens look somewhat like us that we forget maybe they (intelligent life) could arrive in all kinds of different forms and then when the time is right, could transform into...who knows what. Those nasty dust mites look like an alien life form and we don't even know they are there because we can't see them.

Of course I also like the idea that maybe they do look and behave like us and are using us. They are in their space crafts or on their planet tuning in to the latest episodes of planet earth on their jumbo tron in another galaxy far, far away. They watch us build weapons to kill each other, build cities, grow food and then they confuse us with bazillion year old writings on cave walls, add a dash of Kardashian, throw in language barriers, politics of each country, terrorize us with shark attacks to we can create shark week on our TVs, hurl a few unexplainable fire balls over Russia or South America to keep scientists busy. Yes, I think it's possible for aliens to exist but seriously, what do we really have to offer them other than entertainment value.

Anyway, you probably do have a colony of alien life in your dust. Sleep well, my friend, sleep well. *this is followed by evil laugh*

Excellent points! I could never function without the internet anymore, and yet I've only been using it for 22 years. Someone from the 17th century visiting now would be flabbergasted with the changes and inventions. We certainly don't know now what we will know 100 years from now.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazca_Lines

If there is ONE thing that makes me believe in extraterrestrials is the Nazca lines in Peru. These people went to great trouble and time to make earth drawings they could not even see, they can only be seen from the sky and they had no airplanes to be able to do that.

EDIT: Well, just read, it says the figures CAN be seen from nearby foothills and other high places. But, can you imagine the logistics of the designs two thousand years ago?

My imagination is currently in overdrive:

Last evening a big fireball was seen over Missouri and a couple of states to the north. Now I find that interesting because Missouri sits on the 37th parallel which some call the UFO highway due to the high incidence of animal mutilations , eerie lights and alien abductions worldwide near this parallel. Missouri has had its fair share of these happenings.

What if while people were oohing over the fireball the real aliens slipped in undetected? Or what if there was a minute alien life form that entered our atmosphere on said fireball? Humans seem to think everything burns up with a meteor/fireball, but what if the alien life form knows something we don't and have evolved to be able to survive extremes of hot, cold, light, dark, wet, dry? What if they are intelligent life? I think it's possible. Think about it, a few years ago a computer filled an entire room and now we can carry one around in our pocket.

That being said, perhaps in a few weeks or a couple of months might we might see some kind of new bird flu? (Missouri raises chickens, has egg production). Will there be human disappearances near the 37th parallel? If not here in the states, perhaps another country on the 37th? Animal mutilations? What if a particular group of aliens chosen path is the 37th parallel and they follow it to other states, other countries, hibernate, thrive and reproduce in the warmer water of the ocean using it like a petri dish in which to grow the next unforeseen pandemic. (ok, I confess- I watch too many zombie movies and read too many sci fi books).

I feel like I should be playing Twilight Zone music in the background. But...one never knows because we don't know everything.

I don't understand this at all. Animal mutilations? Alien abductions?

I grew up in Colorado and probably one of the most famous animal mutilations occurred near Alamosa, Colorado. Snippy the horse was found in a field completely drained of blood, organs removed, radioactivity detected around him as well as circular burn marks on the ground. They tried to say it was a bunch of college students but then similar things happened in Missouri with cattle and if I recall, it seems there were some similar events with sheep in Europe.

People have reported being abducted by space aliens, carried to their ships and examined and tested. I don't know about those other than the people describing the events believe it happened. These were often people from Missouri near the 37th parallel.

The Snippy case cause such a ruckus I'm sure there is probably something about it on the internet. I suppose that's where I first acquired an interest and then I read VonDanikens book Chariots of the Gods. There's a whole pseudo science around alien life now, dozens of books. But the Snippy story is the first one I ever remember hearing about other than the spaceship crash near Roswell, New Mexico

I was in O'Fallen ,MO the year [i don't remember which year] that for much of the late night police cars were running all over the place. I figured fugitive pursuit? Or something similar.

Found out the next day that they [police] were chasing 'flying craft' reports. Word was that they [police] themselves reported seeing what ever it was/they were.

I heard also that some police jurisdictions in southern Ill, reported them as well.

I saw nothing, was in a tavern/grill, until about 1:am, then went to bed.
