Do Not Purchase Medications from China

It is MOST IMPERATIVE you take immediate actions to begin a transition from almost total dependence on China for our medicines to a situation where most of our medicines are made in the United States, such as (1) imposing tariffs to protect American producers of medicines from the predatory pricing/government subsidy schemes of China and other nations; (2) mandating country of origin labeling of all ingredients in medicines to enable medical professionals and patients to monitor where their medicines are coming from; and (3) rejecting the globalists’ long-term initiative to build up China at the expense of the United States by ending the Permanent Normal Trade Relations Status for China and ending U.S. membership in the World Trade Organization.

TOO MANY Americans are NEEDLESSLY dying because of this MOST UNCONSCIONABLE situation. IMMEDIATE action MUST be taken!

I have contacted my representatives in congress about this as well as Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell.

China is our enemy and we should not purchase or accept anything from China we put into our mouths and that also goes for our pets as witnessed by the many recall’s on pet food products from China in recent years.

I did get a few notices from my Pharmacy about 2 blood Pressure medicines made in China that can cause Cancer. My husband and I are on the 2 mentioned. I asked my Doctor if he would change our medicine. He said that he thought they were alright. So I am really confused as what I should do now.

There have been cases of people dying here
too after taking weight loss drugs, bought from
the Internet, though none have been reported
lately and the source of supply was never mentioned.

I remember a news article about a woman who died from a drug she bought on the internet. It turned out it was made in India. I seem to remember reading that India is a major source of drugs and drug ingredients. I agree that we should be informed of the source of our drugs and food items. That would require a stronger FDA with more power to regulate.

Some dietary supplements in the U.S., especially those that claim weight loss or muscle gain, have been found to contain unlisted ingredients that are dangerous.

Most drugs have potential side effects. The fact that they were made in China may have nothing to do with it. If your Pharmacy took the trouble to warn you it might be a good idea to get a second opinion. Or was it just the standard list of side effects that usually come with a prescription? I'm surprised they mentioned the source.

It's a price driven world economy.
There are bad makers, and good makers....in every country...including some in the good ol' US of A
One should be astute as to what one is ingesting, no matter where they're coming from.
I too recvd a cancer warning on wunna the BP meds I take. Talked to my doc. After the prescription ran out, I switched to another maker.

Pelosi.......bruuuhuuuuhaaaahaaaahaaaa....ahem.....sorry

Humana Pharmacy had a message on their website about a BP med that I take. It was assuring everybody that it was not on the list coming from China. Of course it did not say where it was made so I guess I should check that too.

Here is what I learned attending a week long conference that was centered around drugs, both legal and illegal. The moderator for the conference was a well published Ph.D. from Harvard that was also a member of one of the think tanks here in America.

Regarding imported drugs from Germany, China, India, etc., the main issue is quality and accuracy. Drugs are comprised of different chemicals. All too often, imported drugs have been found to be lacking in both of the items that I mentioned. Poor quality and inaccurate measuring of the chemicals required to manufacture the drug being made has posed serious health issues, mainly due to inconsistent measuring of the proper chemicals being used.

I know this sounds all scientific and a bit overwhelming, but think of it this way. If a single pill of a drug states that it’s chemical composition shall be C9H8O4 (Aspirin) and the pill that you take is C9H7O3, you are not getting the required strength of that pill that your doctor has requested, yet the AMA only requires that imported drugs shall be within 85% of accuracy. (I believe this number was changed in just the last few years.)

Canada has received permission from several U.S. states to mail prescription drugs to patients holding legal prescriptions. This is proving to be very advantageous to U.S. citizens, both in cost and availability. It is also hopeful that by doing this, it may (will) cut down on the number of drugs being imported from countries that are considered to lack credibility in the drug department.

Two of my meds are made in India by Torrent Pharm and Lupin Pharm....in the past if my local pharm changed the manufactuer on one of em', I had weird side effects...Is India considered as bad as China E? Gonna research my other meds out of curiosity....gonna do the same with my vitamins...

Wish I never read this....some of you probably already knew this, ugh....

I take my blood pressure on a regular basis and record the results then make a chart. My average readings were consistent until I got pills from a different manufacturer and my average went up. The pharmacy gave me another manufacturer's product and it went back to normal.

The problem is the process of making a drug. Some can produce harmful compounds as a result of improper manufacturing. The FDA inspects but no way can they test each dose of every drug. The situation overseas is that many of these companies are supposed to self report. And don’t think that a brand name is any different, they are manufactured in China and India as well. So far many of the recalls have been over one compound, NDEA. It can be found in drinking water, due to the chemicals used in water treatment, just not above the FDA level. Not a new revelation, it’s been known since the late 90’s.

Canadian drugs are made in China and India as well, same with the EU and UK.

I have been purchasing my inhalers (respiratory) from India for 16 years. I have had no problems with them. The price in the U.S. for some of the inhalers is so exhorbitant that if you need to use them on a daily basis, you simply cannot afford them unless you are quite wealthy.

Sassy, Couldn't you insist a change be made?

Good for you. However, the fact remains as reported by the FDA, medications that are imported from countries such as India have been found to be of lesser quality. The FBI has seized billions of dollars in imported drugs that have been found to contain impurities, not to mention to also be in lesser quality than those produced here in the U.S. It’s important to remember that these foreign countries do not use the sterile conditions that are used in countries that are considered safe. The companies are not inspected as they are in the U.S.

What has also been called into question is the integrity of their record keeping. Many forensic experts that deal in documents have testified before congress that India’s drug production raises several concerns and not only about the quality of their drugs. The chemicals used have been tested and found to be very sub standard compared to those used in the U.S. and the U.K.

There was a case before Congress years back, maybe 10-15, where an Indian drug manufacturer was found to be owned and controlled by a fellow that had served time for selling some real junk to the U.S.
