skinny jeans' I have to admit I have - been a while since I wore a skirt lol'' I put it down to my country living 'or is that a excuse,
I live in jeans now sometimes leggings with boots.. and comfort I find -friend of mine threw away her skirts lives in jeans all the time .. have you swopped at all - ?

I haven't worn a skirt in 20 years... even at work I wore either a dress, or trousers with a jacket.

I used to wear over the knee skirts in winter with polo neck jumpers and knee high boots when not at work but I really can't be faffed with skirts anymore..

I prefer a dress or shorts and top in summer..and leggings, or jeans with boots in winter.

Today I have multiclour leggings on and a sleeveless vest top..

Sounds very smart to me Charry.. 🌹..I don't think any woman needs a skirt to look smart these days tbh...

I never swapped out skirts for leggings. Those glorified tights would make me sing soprano, I believe! I do thank those of you who wear leggings with no long top covering them. You are starring in quite the show, and I appreciate your good efforts! :devilish:

Since I live in Florida I wear shorts all the time I can usually find them at Macy’s which is my favorite store and I wear short sleeve shirts as well as crocs sandals that’s about it other than swimsuits and coverups, When we go out to eat I sometimes wear a dress but it’s usually a sundress because it’s so darn hot here.

I don't wear skirts, they look horrible on me. (although I own one yoga skirt, it's not too bad)

Skirts seem to be popular here in the south. Dresses too.

I've never been a "dress up" person, and only wear pants, shorts or the leggings that have become popular. I have two pair of leggings that are delightfully tacky, and I love them. oh, and @hollydolly I just want to be sure my fat ass is covered.

LOL..it wasn't me that was concerned about that it was Treeguy.. :D

Haven't worn a skirt in ages but have worn long dresses on occasion. I have 2 pairs of leggings and don't wear them in the Summer. Sometimes I wear them in cooler temps. but lately am self conscious of my larger now body so I rarely wear them and go for "sweats" instead. They are so comfy and everyone wears them around here. 🤪

I haven't worn a skirt or a dress in years! The last time I wore one of them, I felt so naked, it was uncomfortable! I just like wearing pants, jeans, sweats or shorts! They are more comfortable.

I haven't worn a dress or skirt in forever. I wear shorts practically year-round. In winter I wear a sweatshirt and shorts. :D I have a stack of jeans and some leggings, but I don't like to wear them anymore.

I wear short skorts that look like skirts nearly every day. The hems hit 2" - 4" above my knees. As @jujube mentioned, they're easy to lounge around in. As someone who grew up wearing mini skirts I never found longer shorts or skirts comfortable. Capris would be out of the question.

When it's cold I move to tight jeans or pants but not leggings.

I buy my leggings a size or two larger, so they're not skin-tight. They're so comfortable. I have several, most in black, and a couple in two-tone design. I donated my last two skirts to Goodwill with a pile of blouses, just yesterday. I don't think I've worn pantyhose in a few years now. Won't miss them.

Hey, that's something I hadn't thought of--getting a larger size! Mine are skin tight.

"Skorts" are my thing. A little dressier than shorts and you don't have to "sit like a lady" (which my grandmother never managed to pound into me).
I have one dress/skort but it's too small for me now. I used to wear it a lot, but now I can't find any to replace it because all the dress type skorts.. (not skirts). are made for the teens and the shorts part of the dress are far too short for a middle aged woman... 😔

Nope me neither, haven't worn panty hose in forever.... I do wear 100 denier black tights in winter sometimes if I'm wearing a woollen tunic dress...

FOR THE LADIES

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we’ve no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I’m tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other people’s gardens
And learn to spit.

You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.

But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.

But maybe I ought to practise a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.

THERE comes a time when the hypocrisy of our socially norms becomes apparent.
Ladies: wear the purple, learn to spit

Men: wear those jeans with your butt showing, (not too much,). The 'plumber/s crack' is still taboo
Shave-why?
Wear those ragged, comfy clothes, there cloths, who is to complain?
