I'd have to say Ivory soap was my favorite. And I am a soap connoisseur.I can remember when I first came home from school and said, “Oh, crap!” to express disgust over something. What followed was almost a preview of Ralphie’s soap scene from the movie A Christmas Story. My mother began dragging me to the bathroom, talking about washing my mouth out with soap, and demanding to know where I had learned such language. She was not laughing or showing any indicators of jest, but rather serious intent…
She never actually put soap in my mouth, but I regarded her threat as credible, and she was crazy enough to have done just that…

I've personally heard foul language from elderly women, including the f word.I've never cussed around elderly ladies. I'm now rethinking that boundary.
Reading this thread, I'm not surprised. And not at all disappointed.I've personally heard foul language from elderly women, including the f word.
It would be so much fun if we were 'sisters from another mister"ha!! I knew it.. sister from another mister... my mother used to say the same thing. ''If you can't express yourself without resorting to bad language then don't speak at all' is what she always said, and I hear her now, when I do swear...![]()
