I’ve had sort of the reverse happen.
I live in a very small subdivision, just 4 streets, and our neighbors are out walking all the time. We often wave or chat when Im walking our dogs around our yard (we have almost an acre and no fence, so I walk the dogs on leash for their potty breaks)
Our living room faces the street, large picture window. We took down the wall between living room and kitchen so the view into the house shows both living room and the kitchen beyond. I’ve had several neighbors comment on how lovely the interior looks which of course makes me feel good!! Questions about where we got the backsplash, what kind of wood accents around the kitchen door to the back, what plant is creeping along the ceiling beam, all kinds of things.
It’s fun getting a completely objective perspective from an outsider and hearing what they notice compared to the things that claim MY attention when I’m looking through the windows when I walk the dogs!
Here…..I just took a picture from the front door which is right next to the picture window, so you get an idea of what the neighbors see.
