Do You "Feel" The Rain, or Do You Just Get Wet?

I love it when it rains, always have. If it's a gentle drizzle, I walk in it and enjoy...of course I'm not all dressed up going to an event. If it rains harder, I will use an umbrella if there's one available, and go for a walk. I like the rain, don't get enough of it, IMO. Folks living in places like England may disagree, I can understand appreciating the sun more if you get rain nearly every day.

How about you? Do you 'feel' the rain, or do you just get wet? :rain:

Love the rain. And here in California we need it so bad, I'm actually depressed about it.

At our previous property there was a small river the other side of the garden wall just yards away from the side of the house! It never did flood the place, but came uncomfortably close in 2000. I got paranoid every time it rained, and was relieved when we moved to our present home in 2012, as there is no river close by.

I live in one of the wettest areas of Scotland, so I could use a bit less of it. I learned to deal with it though. I have a midcalf length raincoat with hood and I never carry a brolly. If it's just a bit of drizzle I don't even put up my hood. I'm thankful though that we've got loads of flowers and it's very green here.

I wouldn't mind so much if the weather forecasts were dependable. You can't ever plan a picnic unless it's maybe the day before you want it.

Love walking in the rain, its those damn puddles that pizz me off.
It seem Im always into one before the brain tell me to jump.

The weather forecasts are often way off the mark. I don't think they know what it is doing unless they look out of the window!:D

I'm a rain-lover too Seabreeze, always have been, like you. I remember when I was a kid, we lived in a dismal housing project. But I was lucky because I had the top part of a trundle-bed and it was just at window level so I could lay there and watch the rain. I still, to this day, leave my window partly open, especially when it rains:)

I love watching the rain through a window too, from the dry indoors. Our camper has a fiberglass roof, and a gentle rain sounds so soothing as you drift off to sleep in the wilderness.

Love, love, love that pic nwlady. :)

I too love the rain, but, no longer look forward to it as I did in earlier years as the change in barometric presser is killer on my arthritis.. Plus, sparks in the sky usually follow our rains, the joy of the rains aren't as when you live in the lightening capital of the world and sitting near a window isn't recommended. I will however sit and peak our if I don't hear too much thunder or see the sky lighting up. :D I still love the rain just don't get to enjoy it as much, it is a beautiful sight and sound. I chose a cloudy sky for my avatar so I must have some love in there somewhere still.

I often think of this song when it rains. :sentimental:
