Do you find it weird to have children who are seniors themselves?

I agree. While I don’t mind getting discounts, I’d rather they left the senior discounts alone if they need to start them at 50. Then you get cashiers asking you if you’re a senior when you haven’t event considered it yet. Just another reason to love Amazon. ☺️

I wouldn’t guess you are that old cause you’re as smart as a whip! Dementia clearly isn’t creeping in yet, or at least to me, it doesn’t seem so

Thank you, Patty, but my 70's (I'm 76) have been a steep downhill slide. Not just physically, where I've had to pace myself or else run out of energy, but online I find myself repeating the same things, and just last week my spell-check disappeared and I see I no longer have a clue how to spell anything.

Hey Della, I think most of us can relate to what you have just written about . Needing to pace is something we all need to learn how to do. I’m almost ten years younger than you and get stuck on words often.

There are words I will completely forget and will struggle with. I’ll know the meaning of the word and that’s it’s a perfect word to use but can’t for the life of me remember it. It drives me nuts.

You can still spell plenty good enough that we don’t even notice. The good news is that YOU notice. You also still have lots of fire in you. Another good sign that you are alive and kicking. 😊
 
Our kids are 66, 65, 62, and 61 and 2 of our grandkids are in their early 40's. We see them quite often as they all reside within easy driving distances. One of these "older" grandkids is not married but the other is, and her oldest child (one of our great grandsons) just reached 20.

When we were younger, neither my wife nor I thought we'd even see great grandkids as our own great grandparents were long gone when we were born.
 
I look at our youngest grandchild (19 months) whom we adore, and since I'm 70 now I wonder if I'll live long enough to dance at his wedding or to see his children born.

DH & I married in our late 20s and when our kids were born I was 31 and 33. DS married at 30 and was 36 when this baby was born.
