Do you find your getting angrier or calmer as you become older.
Personally I find I'm becoming really angry with the world and less tolerant of what I perceive to be stupidity. I've never been one to make a fuss or start arguments but sometimes these days the crass ignorance of some people churns me up inside and I just want to punch them in the face.
OR
Are you calm, serene with the knowledge of years of learning that allows you to understand fully others idiosyncrasies and take pleasure that the world is a richer place with them in it.

I get more and more like Maggie Smith every day, is that a bad thing, LOL!

Great question!

Not sure if I have become angrier since getting older, but certainly less patience with age. Stupidity and ignorance has always made my blood boil. I hear you Mondays child, loud and clear.

I've been mostly calm all my life. I try not to let anger get to me by STAYING AWAY from things that make me mad,

like politics, finance, teenagers current clothing fads, haircuts, rap "music", etc.

Letting yourself get mad @ every little thing, will elevate your blood pressure which will hasten your meeting your God face to face.

If you can't DO anything about it; then FORGET about it !

I don't see where this question is relevant to anything. It seems like simply a "space filler".

Some of use get angrier with age and some of us get mellower with age.

So what is the final consensus, and how important is it?

I think we should discuss early Rennaissance sketching instead.....

I've been though alot in life, war, 3 failed marriages and, uh, well the rest was pretty normal. I always took things in stride, basically calm thinking.

However, after undergoing a prolonged treatment back in 2012, my body and mind just never felt "the same" as prior to the T[SUB]x[/SUB].

It is what it is, I grasp at serenity when I get close enough...;)

I'm surprised these days about how much anger I feel about some things that have me shouting out in desperation. Both my sister and I were brought up in a family where we had a dominant father and so we wouldn't say boo to a goose and I know that I bottled up a lot of feelings all my life to my own detriment. Both my ex wife and I were the same meek and mild temperament, which is why we never understood why my son is totally the opposite and has not been hampered by this. I can only think of once in my life when I let my feelings take over and I got violent.

I LOVE Maggie Smith! She was wonderful in Downton Abbey and also in the Sister Act movies. To answer the question. I believe I'm getting calmer. Who knows how many days, months or years I have left on this Earth. No sense stressing myself or letting others stress me out. I know my husband is happy about that.

Absolutely spot on, Mr. Falcon...It goes a long way in explaining why i NEVER sit glued to the ''goggle box'' , not just for hours on end, but at ANY time...Just fill my days reading some juicy thriller...working at some complicated jig saw puzzle...go down to the closest shopping mall to see what i can get in the way of food...OR...whenever i feel like partaking in a quick rant...just come online here...
And if and when WW111 happens to break out...no problem...it`ll be pasted all over the front page of every daily under the sun, so, that`s how i`ll know...!!

I was going to post a new thread, "Are you getting madder at yourself for doing dumb things?" For me, the answer is 'yes'. I do things, without thinking. Then I yell at myself for doing something dumb. I'm doing more dumb things. And as far a wanting to strangle people, at time, the answer is "YES". Especially when you have a problem, and someone tells you that it can't happen. For example, at the Dr's. You are told you don't have an appt., but you've got the appt. card in your hand.
