Do you get a good night's sleep?

Sure, I get a good night's sleep. Bed at 9:30, read until 10:15, lights out and up by 5:30. I don't need a sleep aid and I walk everyday for about an hour. I have lost weight and I don't toss or turn like I used to and I watch my diet. All this seems to work plus I am retired so no rush to get up or work to worry about.

Like I said earlier I'm a very light sleeper. A lot of times I will watch Perry Mason before and the twilight zone before I fall asleep and sometimes the tv is on all night, If it is and Leave it to Beaver comes on, I'm awake. That kid will wake me up every time!

I think I must sleep on and off. The problem is that I like to listen to the radio throughout the night with the earphone in one ear and change it to the other ear when I turn over. The World Service is great and there is a Times news station that my friend recommended and also phone ins. There is also a station for plays etc. I do doze off because I am aware that I miss some of what I was originally listening to. I just find it so interesting and I usually have the news update before the following morning. I would miss my radio more than the TV. I just accept that I'm more of a night person. I never had the radio on before but I had many many nights where my head would be spinning with worry about work the following day or other problems and now with the radio on (and retired) my mind is focused on the radio items and it stops me thinking about any other issue in my life. I also try not to be fixed on a 'getting up time' or beat myself up if it's a different time from what other people might feel is respectable. I go with what I feel comfortable with. I've learned that everything that needs to be done gets done.
Another World Service listener here, Tre. :)

Actually medical professionals will tell you that if you cannot fall back to sleep with 10 or 15 minutes, it is better to get up and keep yourself busy until you are tired. Of course, if you work, you have to see it through, which I have done in the past.
I believe it.

I find I always fall asleep quicker and sleep more soundly after a get up and wait it out stint, than I do if I fight it.

I used to get less than 4 hours a night sleep, refused to take anything to help me sleep. Took half the day to shake it off. Now I get a good solid 5 hours, once in a while 6 hours. All because of the cannabis oil. Took a while to figure out the dosage but now I am great. Sleep right through, very little pain these days. That part of life is good.
