Do you have a "hero" who is not quite "a good guy"?

Gaer

"Angel whisperer"
Mine is Frank Abagnale Jr. His biography was personified in the movie, "Catch me if you Can".
I've been in awe of him for years! I KNOW what he did was wrong, but, WOW! What a life!

Then there were "The Newton Boys" bank robber brothers from Uvalde, Texas in the 1920's.
If you read the book or see the movie, you find yourself rooting for them, as if they were little
kids stealing from a cookie jar.
Again, they did bad things, but What an exciting life!

That same movie was like background /elevator/ music today earlier. That kind of life costs too much , like many lives admittedly, to even think it is okay or any kind of good. To gain the whole world even, is not worth losing the soul.

There was a movie, "The Grey Fox" starring Bill Miner.
He was one you always wanted to get away (bank robber) because he was such a gentleman!

Did not know that! I really like both, but if this is true my opinions of them will crater.

Maybe not so much as Bill Cosby, but I may stop watching Connery's movies...
I KNOW! His voice alone made me gasp! I probably shouldn't have told you. He was a hunk!

@Gaer

During one of my Schizophrenic psychotic breakdowns, I felt the whole world was raining hate down upon me...I was the most infamous man on the Globe for my past transgressions.

To try to stop the hate I came up with an act of kindness. I donated a signed Campbell's Tomato Soup Can to the food bank in my city. I was convinced satellite cameras were watching my every move. It was my Andy Wharhol theory...everyone would be famous for 15 minutes...then I'd finally fit in with the rest of the world.

After I donated the soup can I walked back to my car and turned on the Radio. The song that was playing was Feed the World.

I cranked it up...raised my fist to the satellite cameras in the sky and yelled out YESSSS!!! At the top of my lungs!

I was the bad guy turned Hero.

Complete and utter madness, I know...I'm on medication now and doing much better.

Wait! This soup can was signed by Andy Worhol?

No.

I felt I was a world-wide spectacle and the whole globe wanted me dead. So i personally signed the soup can thinking when I was killed or took my own life, an internet billionaire would buy that soup can as a pop culture trinket for millions of dollars...and millions of women and children would be fed and clothed.

oh.

Complete and utter madness.

I drove to another Province in Canada and threw a large rock at an outdoor Drive-In movie screen. I then took off my white t-shirt and waved it in surrender to the satellite cameras in the sky who I thought were following me.

It was my own way of telling the world that I didn't want to be the main lead in this giant global play against me.
