Do you have an energy slump at some point during your day?

I do. Every day somewhere between 3.00-5.00 I feel sluggish and tired. This is usually the time of day when I’m wrapping up work and driving home, and sometimes I struggle to keep my eyes open. I make sure to keep a snack on hand for my commute home to help combat the fatigues they sometimes overwhelmed me. Driving and popping a grape or piece of cheese every so often keeps me alert enough to manage the drive.

Weekends I experience the slump then too but I’m usually home so I at least I don’t have to drive through it! I’ve never been able to nap so that’s not an option. If I’m home I’ll often sit down for a bit till I get my second wind! 😂 But mostly so just power through.

I’m very much a morning person so by late afternoon I’m heading towards the end of my energy levels for the day anyway so I’m sure that plays a part, but I still have a few hours to get through before bed time so it’s annoying.

Do you experience similar energy slumps?

Yes, and I've had it for some time. I became aware of it while working, and I had to find ways to get passed it. Like you, mine was around the 14:00/15:00 time frame each and every day. It's part of the circadian cycle, it turns out. We all have it to some extent.

At this stage of life, working half days would be perfect. :D

Not surprised at you Ronni, you're always on the go...so hardly surprising you run out of steam after a days activities..:D

me ?.. I get it during the day..sometimes I'll eat dark chocolate or drink diet coke or equivalent and that keeps me awake..or sometimes I just sit down on the sofa, and catch up with shows that are waiting for me.. and sometimes I fall asleep..

My daily energy slump happens generally between 2 and 4pm but
that has mostly I think to do with an interrupted night time sleep
pattern. So, I just go with things, and do what I can. If I am not home
between 2-4 pm, it is easier for me to not feel the slump as much. If
home and in any type of calm state, it is hard for me not to doze off
for an hour or so.

Your last option is the one I prefer, holly.

I have energy peaks, usually from about 2 or 3pm til 6 or 7pm. By then my body has processed nutrients and oxygen my exercise routine kicked off, I've meditated at least once and did 1 or 2 tea rituals, and my pain meds are working at optimum.

The rest of the time, my a$$ is draggin' ....when it's not in my recliner.

Yes I do and at the same time as you also. If I'm doing something very exciting though, or new and fun, it does not happen so I think mine could be boredom more than fatigue.
