I don't know about you being a witch nor can I claim you used witchcraft but I can honestly say you have a gift.

Another tale, a friend who is no longer alive, asked me to try my
gift on her back, it was so bad that she was on Morphine daily,
while waiting for an operation to put a cage around her lower
spine.

Some days it was so bad that she could barely walk.

She stood in front of me with her left side next to me, I took
hold of her left hand and slowly brought my right hand, open
towards her lower back, her legs gave way and I had to catch
her, when I started again, another friend stood on her right side
to hold her upright, I put my hand back towards her and she
stayed upright as she was expecting the force, I had never seen
that before.

The next time I saw her, she was amazed at what I had done to
her back on the Monday, she said that she never took any more
Morphine till the Wednesday evening, usually she took it at least
three times daily.

She died of a food allergy, some years later.

My mother has that same sense of discernment for the truth and was called a witch by coworkers in her years working as a nurse anesthetist. If she expressed having a bad feeling about an otherwise healthy patient even undergoing elective rather than emergency surgery, most of the surgeons and other OR staff went on higher alert for those cases because she was so often right. She's gotten valid 'feelings' like that from time to time outside work, but it mostly happened for her work related... I'm guessing the hyperalert mental mode that people involved in surgery go into heightened her sixth sense. She's got a lot of Scottish DNA ...they'd say she has the 'sight' to some degree.

who was having trouble with her digestive system I
don't touch, but hold my hands at the back and front
of where the problem is, the next time I saw her I asked
if I had helped in any way, she said that she felt a lot better
and that a friend wanted to know what she was taking to
lose the weight!

In your own country, as you well know, it makes you 'fey'

This means you have certain powers which you could refine and develop should you wish. Native Americans would regard you as a medicine man, and in the Caribbean you would be given a wide berth!

My mother was 'fey' and it's curious that, as already noted, I married a 'fey' girl.

I made myself scarce if ever they were huddled around a big pot!

Salem, MA has had a history and some who were executed were, sadly, not guilty, but many others were.

There was a time I wanted to visit the place. Out of a gorgeous hot July day, a rainstorm burst forth, bucketing down, solid sheets of rain. In a few words, a horrible storm and a call came on car's phone which said: "Don't go there. It's dangerous for you and your family..."

Never found out who made the call until years later.

I've been into Wicca for years and I tend to stay on the white side.

Unfortunately, judging by some programs online and sometimes on YouTube, some do dangerous rituals who bring destruction and misery, I class this as Dark/Black magic.

Remember that a balance is always required and that certain aspects of the craft is best left alone...

I've learned that as well during my intense research for my series The Wanderlust Collection. Celtic, Pagan were popular back then.

Druids are part of a beautiful ancestry, I consider them the first true herbalists. Also, the Shamans, that's another wonderful history from the native Indians.

Shape-shiters, Skin-walkers, Banshee legends, faeries and more such a rich history of people who wanted to do good towards their fellow humans. Scotland, Ireland and the whole UK is populated with amazing customs which, in some cases, have been passed down through generations.

I've tons of notes on these subjects. My cousin worked in Reiki healing and found out later that she was a healer/lightworker.

Finally, I've found another phase of magic through researching about Angels, my third series. Another fascinating bit of history.

My 9th great-grandfather, Anthony Checkley, was a prosecutor in the trials. During sentencing, he reported to Governor Phips that three condemned women's cases were no different from others who were previously cleared and the governor agreed. So they knew some of it was a sham; some they probably did believe guilty due to the thinking of the times. Rev. George Burroughs (protege of my 10th ggrand Rev John Wheelwright) was executed as a ringleader of the witches simply because he had differing theological views to the Puritan leaders; some of the female victims were guilty of no more than that. Dangerous to think for yourself in those days about religious matters.

Oh my Goddess, I'm so sorry for your ancestors. The Puritans in the UK and in the new colonies weren't helping the situation. None, thankfully, in my ancestral genealogy suffered any of this.

Neither did we use the moniker "witch" or "Wiccan". My great-grand-parents were considered herbalists, green grocers, fruit growers too but they saved many with the overflowing book of herbal medicine.
 
I actually looked into Wicca, but since it's hard to get a group going, I just stayed with doing nothing.

Witchcraft is a dark art. I actually chuckled a bit local biblical king forbade "Contacting the dead" and later he did. Which shows there's some who have that ability. Same with water witching.

One thing further. Mike, over time, I have noticed your gift is not limited to physical healing. Your manner, energy, if you will, exudes a warm, calm, and quiet force. Kindness, compassion, tolerance, and humour. These are also very powerful healing tools. You are one of the most restful human beings I have ever met. I love you to bits. ♥️

Thank you Shalimar, for the high praise, I feel like asking,
have you mixed me up with somebody else?

I try not to get upset, but I do sometimes, I learned to be
calm and not get too excited about mistakes, they have
happened and were not intended, most times they can be
undone.

But I have to accept your findings, as you are a nice person
and have written nice things, you too are a calm person, I feel.

My Welsh grandmother used to stand in our vegetable garden, barefoot, singing the seeds to grow. Our garden was fabulous. She sang in Welsh, refused to translate. She told me her mother had been a green witch, hmmm.

2. If they still burned witches, I would be afire. Not a witch but,
I've had men run screaming out of my home because the the eerie
happenings! (It's only my Angels watching over me!)

3. The seekers of something higher than themselves is not a fault
but any powers attained through delusions , incantations, or unnatural
substances are not to be sought. Apparitions are to be refuted because
they will distract you from your true path.
One should not try to invoke magic.
People are ignorant of the forces outside the Earth. The creation of bringing
evil forces forward is not to be practiced. This could harm all on Earth.

Any powers received from other than God are self-deception.
Do not proceed with the black arts!
No spirit is in the possession of the total power of nature.
The power through these spirits is insignificant. a tiny fraction of what
is attained through the almighty.
Why would one give themselves completely to an ignorant spirit
when you can surrender to God? Follow your TRUE path and all
"supernatural" attainments and powers will be given you as your
soul evolves into more and more bliss!

A friend of mine practices Reiki and her energy has become very strong. She has taken my pain away numerous times. In fact once I had a horrible headache and I felt like the top of my head came open and I could feel the pain shooting out of it. With reiki you never touch the person.

In fact her energy has gotten so strong that if your foot hurts she needs to work near your head otherwise she will actually make your foot hurt more. It’s energy work and literally she can feel the bad energy and throw it away. I was never a believer until I experienced it.

You probably are not directing your question to me, but may I offer my opinion?

From what I know of the varied Indian cultures in the U.S., they worshipped
"the Great Spirit" who we refer to as God or the absolute Being.
They have no "organized" religion as with idols and priests, dogmas, but
instead a purity of reverence to the Great Spirit.
Through prayer alone they can practice the "supernatural". or hearing the
voices of the knowledge from the unseen world.
There is great strength and beauty in their devotion and songs to their God.
I don't equate this with witchcraft or worshiping who we call "Satan".

Just my opinion.
