Falkirk Wheel is a nice example of technical invention. It's located at Tamfourhill, Falkirk, Scotland and linking up the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal.

Yes..I have to say tho' it looks nicer online than in real life....but it is an amazing piece of technology
