Do you know your "numbers"?

You may have a name, but today you have to have "numbers'. In the US, you need a Social Security number. Then there's your driver's license number, your car plate number, phone numbers. But how many of these numbers do you know by heart? If you lost your phone??????
And I have even mentioned passwords, yet. 😔

I just mentally reviewed those numbers. Phew, I passed.

I’m fine with my own phone number - anyone else’s, not a chance. Even my husband’s.

I have two sets of numbers to get into the house.

Don’t talk to me about passwords; my head is going to blow up.

I know. The necessity of memory codes has grown significantly. :) phone # and a few others are numbers, my password is the same "strong" one.

All of those, and more.
My DL number was my college ID, so that is ingrained forever.
Knowing your license plate number is important for paying parking meters.

My SS numbers was my Service number when I was in the Army, so of course I'll never forget it.
Phones numbers: I remember my number and my wife's.
I remember my driver's license number.
I don't bother with auto license plate numbers....

Ditto. I do remember my American Express card number only because I used it a lot for traveling, which I did a lot of.

I know most numbers. … the ones I need to know.
But one that they gave out a few years ago for Medicare, I just filed away. Don’t know it, and have never used it.

I know my SS number and the telephone number that we had when I was 11.

All of the important numbers are scrawled on an old tattered yellow pad that I’ve used for years.

I need to go through it and make a neat list for the people tasked with straightening up my affairs if I die or become disabled.

The phone number we had when I was 11 was simply 140.

Memorized both the wife's and my SS numbers, her phone number and my son's number.

Still working on my car tag number due to having a new replacement after ours was taken
at a downtown car park. (two others parked close to mine were also taken)

If the 'powers to be' need any more info on the wife to contact QVC, as they will know more about her than I do...

We each have an NI number in the UK without one you can't be employed ... we have a driving licence number, phone numbers ( 2 if we have a landline as well) ... hospital number.. car registration number....... Pin Numbers.. credit card numbers..

I know my SS and the husbands. I know both our cell numbers. Had the same land line since 1980.
I don't know my driver's license number. If I didn't know my plate number I wouldn't be able to find my minivan in the sea of look a likes in the parking lot.

I know all my financial passwords and a few important passwords like my email. Its a B to access your email if you forget that one. BTDT.
I also have a list just in case. Especially for things like forums and web sites. I need to save my brain space for cat videos. :D

No, but I have a file that has close of 100 numbers that I use almost daily. I do remember my SS number.

In Canada Social Insurance Numbers should be kept private unless dealing with a government agency or for Income Taxes. When you start a new job, you use it. I haven’t had a new job in years and rarely deal with a govt agency, so have no idea why I recall this number off the top of my head. Waste of space.

Is keeping your SS number private expected in the US.

Yea, sure. (except maybe my license plate)

As far as passwords, I have one blanket password for all my 'goofing around' sites. (this site, baseball, music, trivia)

Anything money/health/business related, each have their own distinct password I change on a regular basis.
