Do you laugh out loud?

About 25 years ago I used to do stand up comedy in the Pubs in the evenings.. that's true... and there's nothing like a packed room laughing at your jokes to get you feeling on top of the world...:D

My estranged husband could be very funny , he's a natural born mimic, so he often made me laugh until I cried.. now he's gone.. I feel I need to have a real belly laugh at least once a week to keep my heart healthy.. and sometimes I get it here on the forum.. but mostly I get it from watching the show ''Would I lie to you''.... it's the funniest thing on TV... and there's rarely an epsiode where I'm not laughing until I'm crying.. :ROFLMAO:

I have some French-Canadian friends who have moved out west here. Nearly any time we get together for a visit or a meal together, there are lots of laughs. These are intelligent, accomplished, kind people... some extroverted, some more introverted... They have their emotional ups & downs, like the rest of us. But they sure like to joke and love a good time. Joie de vivre, I guess.

Yes, I laugh out loud, and can remember delightful moments when I laughed so hard that tears streamed down my face. Sometimes the antics of my two Tabby cats have me in stitches, and I also love a well turned phrase from a book. I also love it when someone else thinks the same thing is funny. Once, I was riding on a city bus and they had the computerized voice announcing upcoming stops. Suddenly, the voice just spouted a complete word salad of gibberish, and I met the gaze of another person on the bus. We both exploded with laughter.

Ooooooh, there's nowt like a good belly laugh. Not titters - those lovely belly aches and tears rolling down laughs... :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I've posted this before somewhere ....... Enjoy :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Not as strange a question as you might think. I laugh very loudly, sometimes losing all control, needing to use a tissue to mop my eyes, nose, unable to breathe - in danger of choking even. Depending on what made me laugh. I once went to see Jim Davidson on stage and I thought I would actually die he was so shockingly rude about everyone and everything!

In contrast, my husband very rarely actually laughs. It's so strange. He smiles and enjoys a good joke but at best he might make a kind of strangled weird sound - which sets me off even more. He says he 'laughs inside'. He does have a good sense of humour, especially clever with words, but keeps a straight face.

So what kind of laugh have you got?
Laughter is so odd and has such a good effect on our well-being. I like being around people who have a natural gift for telling jokes.
I am always laughing, my neighbors probably think l am on something. I watch a lot of TV and I enjoy comedy movies, one of my furbabies is a comedian as well so I laugh a lot and maybe a little loud, I can't help it. Laughter is good for you!

I do but not a real loud screeching laugh. I can remember a few times when I couldn't stop laughing. Usually with other people. But there was also this one episode of World's Dumbest where I could not stop laughing at one scenario.

I rarely LOL, but that doesn't mean that I don't find something funny or amusing. I do, but express it with more of an understated chuckle or a little giggle. 😊

Not usually. I'm quiet spoken in my natural manner and rarely burst into loud speech and/or laughter. It has no bearing on whether I've enjoyed the moment as much as the guy in the corner who is "roaring" with laughter. Just a different manner of expressing it.
I too am very quiet spoken, in fact I hate loud voices or noises. However, if something is very funny I do laugh loud. Usually a funny TV programme - I love The Golden Girls for instance and I laugh at Rose's stories.
