You could do voice over, (in fact I'm convinced you've been doing them, covering exotic places, people or something?).

I hate my voice.. I have a mix of 2 accents which people tell me they can barely notice, Scottish & English ...but I can hear very clearly and to me ugly.. on recordings.....so what about you, ?

I'm guilty of both talking too much, and too quietly, so that's not brilliant obviously, but on my one trip to the US I was told in a shopping mall how much the sales people liked my accent, (I can't believe its me, on the rare occasion I hear a recording, and I'd rate it "so so" at best!). :)
 

Fluent in three different languages, no one can tell from hearing me speak and are shocked. No accent in either spoken one. Do not dislike my voice in either dialect.

Do like hearing those that have a British accent, others not so much, especially Southern ones, just hard for me to understand.... Portuguese Brazil, English US/British, Spanish Spain.

Very few people like (or can tolerate) the sound of their own recorded voice. I feel the same way. I once did a cameo voice track for one TV show and it was the same thing. I can't stand to hear it. However, I did a weekly local TV series one summer where I was interviewer and reader of the news. I thought it went rather well. I guess seeing myself speak is less embarrassing?

I speak four languages myself (not including the "just a little bit" of other ones) and I speak several very convincing dialects and accents. But there's the point. Are you speaking about the accents of foreign speakers of any one language or dialects of native speakers? I can think of just as many languages, accents and dialects that I find irritating.
 
To me, I sound rather nasally. I don't like the sound of my voice. It's me. but not me. Now, I speak like a Northeast Pennsylvanian. But I still have vestiges of my Boston accent. I was born & raised in Massachusetts. When I was a kid, I couldn't understand why people thought JFK had an accent.

I think he did some what Boston...hard to follow.

The "others" are most likely right. Most of us hate the sound of our recorded voice, no matter what it really sounds like. People tell me I have a very distinctive voice, at the class reunion I found my voice much more recognizable than my face. Listening to a recording of my voice all I hear is awful.

Thank you, not sure how I was able to accomplish that, tried to to add Japanese, could not do it, know a few words, Now I asked myself something in English and respond to that in Portuguese...

It is odd to be around multitude of languages and understanding them...head should explode it does not...Thank you, Obrigada, Gracias
