Nope. I don't like to "nap" in the day. First, it isn't "napping". When I 'nap', I'm in a deep sleep, I'm comatose- down for the count. It's hard waking up from that. Then when it's time to go to bed, I'm just so damn wide awake. I'm so awake, I want to clean closets. Then I can't fall asleep, so I drag myself around the next day.
I was never a 'nap ' person until I had my knee surgery 15 yrs ,was off work for 3 months in summer '04
I got into the habit of taking a short nap{10-20 min after lunch} before I took my last walk of the day.I feel more refreshed for the afternoon
This has become part of my daily ritual. There are some days when I'm not home to have the nap, I become cranky, tired like applecruncher in the evening Sue
I have sleep maintenance problems at night, and so am inclined to steal an afternoon nap when I can. Sleep in many people tends to become more fragmented as you get older.
