Do you regularly use coupons ?

I see those people on TV getting tons of stuff by using coupons. I've used some coupons for a few things I actually use. Most of the coupons I come across is for stuff I don't use. I'm an old geezer guy, what do I need with a 75 cents off for feminine deodorant? I gave a bunch of those to my girlfriend. She thought I was trying to tell her something, and stopped talking to me for a week. Does anybody regularly use those coupons?

Depends. I do a lot of shopping at PriceRite, no coupons accepted. I try to clip coupons, but sometimes you can do better just by shopping sales, or the no frills stores. A couple times a year a local grocery store will double $1.00 coupons, and then I will use them, if it is a good deal.

Absolutly! Our food store doubles coupons. I even go as far as not to buy unless the item is on sale also. I have been doing this my whole married life. A few years back I even kept track of it and you would be surprised of the savings in a years time. Sometimes The store offers, usually on meat, a good deal on one package only. When the hubby and I worked and passed the food store we would run in and get another package on a different day. We always had a large chest freezer and I think we have saved quite a bit over the years. My only gripe now is that the coupons expire so quickly. Years back they lasted 6 months or more. Just means more clipping but I certainly have the time now. At the very least it always pays for our newspaper bill and then some.

I use them sometimes, but not nearly as much as I used to when feeding a family. The store I mostly shop at for food items is Sprouts, and they have good specials. I do check out their weekly flyer and take advantage of their specials -- for instance, this week they had boneless, skinless chicken breasts on special for $1.67 a pound, and I bought several packages, kept one out and froze the rest. I have a big chest freezer and it helps me save money by freezing what's on special.

I clip a few coupons from the weekly circulars and keep them in an old envelope that I carry when I shop. I end up tossing more than I use because I buy the bulk of my groceries in no frills stores that don't accept coupons. Yesterday I used five or six coupons at Walmart, one was $4.00 off on my daily vitamin. The local Wegman's doubles coupons under ninety-nine cents so I always have a couple tucked away to use when I stop there. Every little bit helps.

I rarely use them . I always forget about them & by the time I remember , they're expired. I hate all those stores where they want you to have "a card" ...I have more Cards than keys on my key chain.

Yes, I use them. I tried extreme couponing years ago but it didn't work for me because most of the coupons in newspapers are for junk foods that I wouldn't touch, or for stuff I don't need or never use. Some places that give you a card to receive coupons and savings send me emails and from the emails I can apply the savings directly to my card so whenever I shop there I save money on stuff I really do need. It's a good deal and it does save money. :eek:nthego:

I mainly use the digital coupons Kroger has on their website. I only load those to my card for something I was going to buy anyway. Around Christmas they will have 5.00 off some of the gift cards I buy for Christmas. If you buy a $50.00 MC they will give you $5.00 off which pays for the activation fees. That's all I give for Christmas to the "grands" as they are all teenagers and hard to buy for. Don't get very many coupons to clip altho Kroger sends some quarterly. They base it on the products you buy from them so I can usually use some of them. Since its just me I don't use the ones you have to buy 2 of. Kroger also has a free coupon in the ones they send quarterly. I always get those as if I cannot use it I can share with someone.

If I come across one and it's something I need, I use them. I recently used a 20% off any item coupon at Harbor Freight for some polishing compound I wanted, and got a free flashlight with another coupon at the same time. My areds2 vitamins had a $5 off when you buy two coupon inside the box, and I used it at CVS with a buy one get one free sale.
