Do you remember your first crush?

I've shared before there was this boy in junior high that helped me survive those awkward years. I was too shy to talk to him but just being in the same class, breathing the same air...yeah it was true love. He moved after 9th grade and that was that. Until almost forty years later when I stumbled upon him on Facebook. It was a thrill, he grew into a really handsome man.

Did you talk to him?

I did leave a message but no idea when the pictures were posted. It's possible he put them up and they're just floating in FB eternity. Also he would be around my age now, the pictures looked way younger than a fifty year old. It was still a nice surprise finding them:love_heart::love_heart::love_heart:

Oh. I wish you had been able to speak to him. Nice that you saw his pictures :)

I had a crush on a boy in the 3rd grade also. I thought he was so cute and the clincher was that he could draw! I thought he was a young Leonardo da Vinci I loved art,and still do. That Christmas my grandfather gave me a beautiful set of colored pencils.I couldn't wait to show them off during our next art class. The little boys eyes popped when he saw them, and I was tickled pink to share them with him. We had a contest to see who's picture would be displayed as background behind our classroom aquarium. It was a tie, his picture and mine won. The teacher displayed mine one week, his the next. I was so proud. Sadly, I think he only liked me for my pencils. But boy! could he draw!

It was nice being able to leave a note. Just a message to the effect of " Hi, do you remember the junior high school? Just by being there, you got me through those awkward years and I want to thank you so much. Great pictures too!!!

Aww that's so cute :) Very sweet. :)

My first crush on someone other than a TV star or singer didn't happen until I was fifteen. We lived near a saw mill and I started noticing one of the guys working there (probably 25 years old, if not older) looking at me as I walked home from school. He was dark skinned, had black hair and never wore a shirt. I've never wanted to attend school as much as I did during the few months this handsome dude watched me walk home after getting off the bus. One memorable day an older worker yelled at my shirtless god, 'Buck, better quit lookin' at that jailbait'! Her daddy finds out it won't be good'. Now I had a name to pin on my daydream and I cherished it, turning it over and over in my mind for days, repeating it like a mantra. The one black day Buck was just gone. Fired or quit, who knows, but my dreams of living happily ever after with my saw mill crush were forever dashed.

Funny that I thought Elton John and later Freddy Mercury were cute. Even the cowboy from The Village People. My poor Mom struggled through the basic birds and bees lesson...I didn't know from "gay" until maybe fifteen. But I somehow knew even pre-adolescent that I couldn't marry Elton John;)

I fell for a sweet green-eyed boy in the seventh grade who's friends laughed at me. He wouldn't give me the time of day.

First crush that's easy, Annette Funicello !!.........needing a fantasy myself and millions of other young boys were sooooo glad to see her 'develop early' while on the Mickey Mouse Club television show. :)

I had my first crush when I was in 2nd Grade. My school had a play every year where all the kids performed. In 2nd grade they made the girls dance with the boys. A boy named Jimmy asked me to be his partner. My heart stopped , he was soo cute. So the 3 nights we had to perform we danced to "Casey would waltz with the Strawberry blonde and the band played on" . After that we became good friends for the next few years in school. After all these years I remember it like it was yesterday. He moved away when we were in 8th grade. I never heard anything about him for years , until a friend of mine found out he was killed in Viet Nam. My heart broke for him and what the world had lost.

I had a crush on this girl as a teen years ago. she was a beauty and I fell so hard. I learned a lesson from that experience so as a reminder I tattooed her name on my arm.

Evelyn was the cute girl that sat next to me in 6th grade and we liked to converse. The teacher told me "you have good taste, but shut up".

Yep, I was about 6 years old and it was a boy who was in Bible school with me. Funny...I have a picture of him and my husband together that was taken about 12 years ago. My first (crush) and my last. LOL :)
