Do you respond only to the title of a thread?

One thing Ive noticed here is that some people only read the title and not the details of even the first post. So their response is only to the thread title. When I make threads I try to further explain the title in the first post. if the title needs elaboration. Sometime it does., Sometimes it is obvious.
Ive been guilty of this too. Just basing my response on the thread title. And it made me think now that I have to get as much information into the title because my first post will be ignored.
People may think Im getting grumpy but Im not. Im just curious about this phenomena. Is it typical of a seniors forum? Older people cant be bothered about the details. They just want to express the view on the matter. that's all.
I am all for tweaking and improving my threads for the benefit of all.

I always read the first post. You might not get the intent of the title unless you read the explanation. A title can be interpreted a bunch of different ways. I usually read all the posts of a thread before I reply, unless it has more than 2 pages.

no better example than my thread:

This is correct. You might get totally the wrong end of the stick if you don't read the whole beginning of a thread.
