Do you see anything disturbing?

What struck me first is that the black appliances are so out of place in this otherwise pleasant kitchen. But a cooking appliance should always provide space for movement. I've never understood builders that stuff a cooking unit into a corner.

That irked me too. Must have got them on sale. Who sticks black appliances into an all white kitchen?
Clearly the same man who shoved the oven in the corner😂

It looks like the landlord got a good deal on a bunch of cabinets and wanted to make sure he used them all.

I would have put the stove on the end of the dogleg or left the dogleg off altogether and added a flat cabinet in the corner next to the stove.

I'm more concerned that there is no range hood and backsplash to help keep things clean.

If the apartment was in a good location and the rent was reasonable I would still consider it.

Reminds me of the house I bought when I was single. The stove was next to a doorway; sticking out like a sore thumb. At the time I was buying this house, I had no clue how annoying it would get.

That is a mess. Whoever put that together was just plain lazy, or cheap, or both.

... and yes Keesha, there was a man involved here somewhere, and he was too lazy to move the 220V for the stove over to a better place. The right of the dishwasher would have been better. They probably also felt locked in by their desire to not buy new countertops.

It is generally better to simply bite the bullet and cough up the money to start over again and do things right. (I am afraid that I have had to learn and relearn this lesson once or twice, but not with kitchens or anything else where my wife's discerning eye comes into play.)

And Deb, (LOL) how do you manage to come across such messes as this. More than once I have wondered if you have access to a special website, maybe "screwups.com" or something like that. But keep them coming, they make the rest of us feel "normal."

Nope just looking around for a prospective place to live. Aftre seeing what's available, my place doesn't seem half-bad.

As newlyweds we were house shopping, found a house that looked okay to me.
Wife said, 'It has no kitchen.'
Toured house again, true it had no kitchen, but it was cheap.
Spouse was miffed, that I thought it was a 'good buy.'

She told story of 'dumb husband,' that didn't know all houses have kitchens.
for decades.
