I still know my best friend from 1st grade ..... We kept in touch after we both married. A couple years later ,the house across the street from me was for sale ...I called her & told her, her and her husband bought it and our sons grew up together. Those were wonderful years !

I also met another lady at a job I worked .... she remembered me from grade school ! She said I still look the same ! HA !
I don't think I liked her back then .... but I like her now ~~~~ LOL !!!

Do you keep in touch with anyone from your childhood ?

I still have my best friend that I met in Kindergarten (Which was a very Looooong time ago). We became friends on the first day of school. Growing up we double dated a lot. I even introduced her to the Man she married. We were in each others weddings. She has always been a Perfect friend.

I get emails from the friend who was the best man at our wedding 58 years ago. He lives on the Atlantic coast and I live on the Gulf coast so we don't get together much.

We get christmas cards from a couple up north. I went to kindergarten with him.

My best friend from my school years, in Denver, passed away this past Fall. We had been good friends since about age 10. I attended the 50 yr. high school reunion in 2010, and renewed some old friendships from that era, and plan to attend the 60th in 2020...health permitting. About half of that graduating class have passed on.

Yes, a kid at the time who was my best friend. Since then, however, after high school, I went to college and he was drafted into the Army. I, OTOH, did the opposite. I went to college and then enlisted into the Marines. We both did time in Vietnam. So, we did become strangers for awhile, but since we have been in our early 30's, we try to get together with our wives joining us at least once a month for dinner and conversation, or maybe go to a movie, car show, carnival, etc.

He still tells me that he is still uncomfortable standing beside me. I am 6'4" and he is 5'7", which does not bother me in the least. I have always told him that he is the bigger man having been awarded two Purple Hearts and one bronze star, while I earned one Purple Heart.

Yes, I am facebook friends with several of my childhood friends. We are not good buddies for we have grown in opposite directions it seems.
