Do you still send out Xmas emails?

Back in the ancient times, everybody and their brother sent out Xmas emails. You got a bunch of the same "cute" emails. It was the thing to do. I stopped sending U.S. mail cards years ago. I was sending cards to people I hadn't actually seen in decades, but I got a card from them. For me, it's kind of the same with email Xmas cards.

Never did Christmas emails, always send and receive regular cards in the mail, some with short notes or photos.

Nope. Pretty much have stopped sending cards, too. If I get one, I usually return one to that person, otherwise I don't bother any more.

I only send two emails with just a short, sweet and simple, "Merry Xmas".....one to my son and his family in Georgia and one to my ex in Texas.

I haven't mailed cards in many moons.

I post a holiday graphic on Facebook or other message boards to cover casual friends and an email with attached graphic for closer friends. Traditional card for relatives, but hand-delivered at family party. Cut down to just 3 or 4 snail mail cards.

I remember my maternal grandmother had a ledger she kept track of cards she sent and received. I think at one time her list had almost 70 names. Heaven help you if you didn't send her one! If she didn't receive a card from anyone on the list that she had sent to, they were crossed off and never sent them one again.

Yes. I got one and sent one today. Also most often send few cards. Generally get a few. After all, 'Tis thee season.'

This year I will send one card to an old friend that has had a very rough year.

I normally get two cards each year, one from my CPA and one from an old friend.

I don't send email, text or newsletter greetings and I normally don't receive any. I do bump into a few folks on FB that I exchange likes or comments with and maybe a private message.

Send a couple emails at Christmas to a few family members or friends who I do not see. No snail mail cards in years. But, today I got a Christmas card from the lawyer who handled my SS disability claim.

I never sent out Christmas e-mails, and haven't sent Christmas cards in decades. I always get one from my veterinarian (whom I dearly love). I figure I've put at least a couple of her kids through college with all my doggies and their various ills.

Nothing wrong with Xmas. And IMO, nothing wrong with "Happy Holidays," either!

I think regular Xmas cards have gone the way of handwritten letters on elegant stationery. And photo albums. And a lot of other stuff that the internet has made obsolescent.
