Do you still use an ironing board?

This goes along with Lon's question. I was on the computer in my study (unused bedroom), answering his question. The house was noisy so I closed the door. And there hanging was my old ironing board. I had forgotten I had one. It was yellowed with age. I haven't used it in years.
Do you still use an ironing board?
 
Got rid of mine a few years ago. Still kept the iron. Learned a trick from an older friend with limited space. She put a thin towel flat on her kitchen counter, then an old bed sheet on top. Used that.
 
Yes, I still use my regular ironing board. I like my blouses ironed and my black dress pants.
When I wash curtains they look much better if they are ironed.
 
Yes I do. I like my blouses ironed. A few of my summer pants need to be pressed a bit but I cheat. I always wear my blouses outside of my pants because of the tummy bulge that never went away after having the kids. I iron up to the point that won't show because it is under the blouse. Great press job, Camper.
 
I only iron once or twice a year when I take down my curtains and valences and wash them, then I iron while still damp. I just put a big towel folded on the kitchen table and use that, don't use an ironing board.
 
Of course I still have an ironing board and I use it too. I hate looking all wrinkled and sloppy. :eek:nthego:
 
I still use my ironing board. My Husband has always been a fanatic about having his clothes ironed. I don't have to iron as much as I did when my kids ere growing up. At that time Sunday nights were my ironing jogs. 15 Shirts a week. Now It's just hubby and me so I can get my ironing done a lot faster now.
 
I don't....but the wife uses hers all the time. She is into sewing...big time...and has taken over one of the spare bedrooms for her "hobby" room. She is always making something for the grandkids, and has gotten into making custom purses for the past couple of years. She took 2 or 3 over to a local fabric shop some time back, and the store sold them quickly, and now she is stacked up with orders from people calling in. With her fancy Bernina sewing machine and Bernina Serger, a couple of Rowenta irons, and a closet filled with fabrics and supplies, she has the room filled. But, that's ok...as I have my big workshop, tractor, and all sorts of outdoor toys. We pretty much stay out of each other's way, and meet at mealtimes, etc.....helps keep 52+ years of married life, civil.
 
I have two. I use one all the time. I use it as a shelf across two big storage bins.
Because that one is ‘in use’, I bought a table top board. I don’t like ironing and have ruined some cloths. So, I’ve learned to buy cloths that don’t need ironing. I still have a few shirts that need ironing. Most are at the ‘back’ side of the closet so I don’t wear them w/o a good enuff reason. One is on the floor of the laundry room - it’s been there for… years.
Did you know you can use an ironing board as a TV tray for all the people on a couch?
 
I find ironing very relaxing. And the results are worth the effort.

I don't iron every day but when I feel like relaxing I bring out the ironing board and touch up the clothes that have come out of the washer.
 
Me too, Falcon. Well I should soon anyway. I ordered a pair of large dress slacks because of my so much weight gain & they're still sitting on my bedroom dresser needing to be ironed. :(
