Do you think Senior Forums is like the Hotel California?

If I am not wrong...all of us who enter the Hotel SF, can never leave. Really! You cannot unsubscribe. Your here for eternity. :eek: :LOL:
This is true. I haven't looked at the place in 10 years. I forgot about it. I did a search on forums for seniors and it came up and I siad oh yeah, I remember that place. I'll make a new account. Clicked on it and it just brought me to my old account to sign in so I sent an email that I couldn't remember the password.

They responded quickly with a password reset and well here I am. I really didn't find anything anywhere near as promising. I was just tired on the places I wandered off to always being people my daughter's age. I was where are all the people my age at? I got reminded so I'm back!

People really go to this much trouble?

I think Pink Floyd recorded someone whispering a message, then rerecorded it backward and placed it in an instrumental section of one of their songs. Playing the record backward then reviled the hidden whispered message.

What was the message?

Always found this YouTube channel interesting. Created by a woman who has only relatively recently started to listeing to 'Rock'. Perhaps after being persuaded to? :D

The person is Amy Shafer, a classical harpist, pianist, and music teacher, Director of Piano Studies.

In this one, she is listening to Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits. A song Inspired by the Falklands War. Amy's video helped me see things I hadn't noticed before.

I think this song got to her a bit:

It's like I saw Bobcat48 mowing his front yard Saturday afternoon. Then we went shopping and it was like you can't stay here but you can never leave. It costs a lot of money! ...Haha

'tis true tho' on this forum you cannot unsubscribe....

I wonder if it would be like Squid.. if we tried to leave , we have to fight each other to the gory death...:ROFLMAO:
I think it's just a maze that we wander around in thinking there must be an exit, only to find ourselves back where we started. We are all Matrix puppets dancing to the tune of the day.

Well, there is the truth, and the proof;

And therein lies the answer to that burning question, posed by one of our forever members in the original post of this forever thread, that shall remain be here at SF. :giggle::LOL::ROFLMAO:

You might think you left, or you might not remember you were here, but you are told, when you drop in to try SF (for the first time) that you aren't new, like you thought! :oops:o_O:rolleyes:

You are a permanent member, and the threads are, as well.....

And, by the way, none of us here, are your daughter's age any more.
Some of us might have been, a decade ago ((or rather, 2 or 3 or 4 decades ago ))
when you were last here,
but not now!
:geek::giggle:😁😄☺️

Ha ha. I think you were smoking something. Here's my front "yard"
Wait another minute! I am still staring at that picture, and it's now appearing to be perhaps just as @papa tiger said in a post someplace above this one.....👍🔝
I think I spot bobcat48, moving slowly along, pushing a mower in front of himself, there.....

Oh that was just my clone. I recently watched the movie Duplicity with Michael Keaton, and I thought, you know, that's not a bad idea. After all, what could possibly go wrong. So, that was Bobcat 2.
Bobcat 3 has developed a few glitches I think I need to work on.
btw, as you see, I'm Bobcat48, so that should give you some idea how messed up I am.

"Hotel California" came out in the late 70s. Back then, it was a trend to have lyrics, which hinted at deeper meanings to songs, but they never were. People wrote stuff like "yeah I looked through a window and surprise what I saw, fairy boots are dancin with a dwarf" Black Sabbath- a truly deep intellectual song.
And are you saying we are like lemmings drawn to S.F.? Just because most of us have over 10,000 posts in Senior Forums doesn't mean a thing. Now, I have to check out Hot Topics and Relationships.
